My Journey with SVBONY
Making of feature
At the 2026 Australian Youth National Archery Championships in Tasmania, two sisters didn't just compete—they dominated. Ellen Martini successfully defended her National Title, while her sister Sanne secured a gold and two silver medals.
The "Emergency Surgery" That Saved a Title But the real story happened days before the competition. Ellen’s trusted SVBONY spotting scope—a companion for over two years—suffered a severe fall, damaging the tripod mount. In a moment of fatherly ingenuity, Bernd performed "surgery" using wire to secure the scope to the plate.
Despite the external damage, the internal optics remained flawless. "This shows the internals are robust," Bernd noted. The scope held its zero, allowing Ellen to focus on her targets and retain her crown.
Next Stop: The Youth Olympics Ellen has now qualified for the Youth Olympic selection event this August. If she makes the team, she’ll be heading to Senegal in November to represent Australia. Before that, she faces the Field Open Nationals in May, where she’ll go head-to-head with former Olympians.
SVBONY is proud to support the Martini sisters. We aren't just providing optics; we are witnessing the making of champions.
