Description

On August 12, 2026, from Paguera, Mallorca, totality lasted 1 minute and 37 seconds, with the Sun just 2.5 degrees above the horizon. The featured composite follows the eclipse from second contact (C2) to third contact (C3). Two brilliant diamond rings mark the beginning and end of totality, framing the fully eclipsed Sun at center. Around it, the extended corona glows in the warm colors of sunset, while below, Mallorca's coastal hills descend toward the Mediterranean Sea.
