Description

The Sturgeon Moon, the traditional name given to the full Moon occurring in August. This image was captured from Western Australia using an SVBONY MK127 127mm Maksutov-Cassegrain telescope paired with an Olympus OM-5 Mark II. The MK127's long focal length provided a detailed view of the lunar surface, revealing the contrasting bright highlands, darker lunar maria and prominent impact craters across the full lunar disc.
