I’m a backyard astronomer on a budget, so using my phone as a camera works perfectly for me, and this adapter has been a huge upgrade from my old one. It’s solid, super easy to set up, and there’s nothing better than snapping your first pic of Jupiter with it!

I had been using a Celestron NexYZ, which is priced far higher than this one.. and not even close quality wise. This adapter is SOLID. Very easy to line up with an eyepiece as well. I’ve tried every design made and I can honestly say that this one is superior to them all. At this price it’s a great deal too.

The included remote is awesome, so you can get a nice sharp picture without shaking the telescope of binoculars. I tried using this with a binocular tripod adapter, and it worked well with that as well. I was anticipating some extra adjustments to keep the binocular tripod adapter from colliding with this smartphone adapter, but no adjustments were necessary.

This is one of the best I’ve used for phone astro photography. Comparable to the Celestron version. I think is may be easier to use and understand. The dials are lined up with each axis. The knurled knobs aren’t the biggest but they are adequate. The clamping mechanism holds the mount to the eyepiece quite solidly as well as simple spring mount for your phone. As with other mounts of this type it’s a bit heavy. You’ll definitely want to rebalance your mount when using this. Combined with your phone the weight is substantial. All in all I would definitely recommend this mount
