The Unboxing of SV241 From Our Clients

Two cameras, a mount, a heater... everything connected to the PC via a USB data cable and powered. Since I've been using it, I've been able to go every night without any disconnections or connection errors. A wonderful controller, perfect for astronomy enthusiasts who need to connect everything.

This has made cable management so much easier. I have it mounted to the side of my telescope on a custom 3d printed base and it connects all of my equiment with ports to spare. So far it has a QHY minicam 8M, guide camera, autofocuser, a dew strap and my old NEQ6 mount with 4x 12v and 1x 5v port for future expansion. This has made setting up faster as I just have to connect it to the mount and power supply and it's good to go. It comes with good cables to get you started with one being the 12v car plug for powering it. At this price you can't go wrong and the delivery time was pretty fast too. If you're looking to tidy up your wiring then you can't go wrong with this.

This is a great unit. It handles all of my astro equipment and has ports to spare. Thank you Svbony !!!

I needed something to power everthting from my flat panel to my pc and it's worked like a charm. Super happy with this.

Affordable, simple, and functional: highly recommended! Well-built and with an impeccable design, it seamlessly integrates a cooled camera, a guide camera, autofocus, an automatic filter wheel, the NEQ5 mount, and two condensation heaters. Cable management is much simpler, with shorter cables, as everything connects near the USB hub. I added an additional dovetail where I install the mini PC and the SVBONY SV241 hub.

This simple, reliable and budget friendly device has significantly improved my imaging setup, making it cleaner and more organized, without problems related to power interruptions or data loss during imaging sessions. I'm already planning to buy another one for my second rig, to avoid repeatedly assembling and disassembling equipment.

Your scope needs a 12V power source. So does your astrophotography controller. So does your camera. The SV241 is great at simplifying your life. With it, you can combine one or more of your devices into one power source. Most power supplies are limited to 10 amps, same as the SV241, your ASIAIR Plus can't handle 10 amps. With my experience so far, I need to run the camera on a separate supply due to the heat of summer but can run my mount and AAP on one battery and my camera on another. What would I like to see now? The SV241 seems like it could the foundation for an SVBONY astrophotography controller to compete with rival products from Touptek and ZWO. I'd like to see that.

This is my first powerbox i ever had, its so well made and it works as it should. Very good and simple to setup and makes cable management so much easier and distributes power efficiently, not only 12v but 5v too! And for its price is simply lovely!. Highly reccomended!

I was very fortunate to order the SV241 just after it was released on the SVBONY e-shop. Thanks to this simple and affordable device, my imaging rig is now much cleaner and more organized. No more issues with power or data loss during imaging sessions. I’m pretty confident that I’ll order another one with my next purchase, and I plan to build a second rig in a way that avoids the need for constant assembly and disassembly between different targets. I hope SVBONY continues to offer more products as good as this one.

Great stuff, useful and cheap. What else? Buy it!

I've had my SVBONY SV241 Astronomy Micro DC+USB HUB Power Box 2PCS USB3.1 High-speed Readout Output & Type-C Interface for Astrophotography for a few weeks now and found it works flawlessly powering most of my equipment, it also has made cable management so much easier.

I have buy the Powerbox to improve the availability of power supply and USB ports for my dual scope/camera astrophotography setup, because mini pc is needed to manage double setup instead Asiair and Stellavita doesn't support that. I'm happy with your product. The powerbox fit my need in terms of connectivity, in particular for the 12V ports. And i really appreciate USB port for the dew heater! One suggestion: 6x12V ports usually is not needed for power all the device. 4x12V should be sufficient, instead more USB-A/USB-C fast port that could be more helpful to connect device like main cameras, guide camera, rotator, focuser and filter wheels.

The SV241 Powerhub is a game-changer — no more cable chaos!I am mounting the SV241 on my setup. Used the left over autofocus mount from ToupTek to provide a platform for the hub to sit. Now I need some short cables to tidy things up and maybe some clear skies.Power and data test done - everything works perfectly.

This solves so many issues with device power cables on an auto EQ mount such as my AM3. I’m feeding my cooled OSC camera, my auto-Focuser, my mini-computer (with a guide camera attached to that) and two dew heaters (guide and main ‘scopes) from this box, mounted alongside my mini-computer. That just leaves the single cable from my 12V source to the SV241 to run past the rotating RA and Dec swivels on the AM3. I made a small aluminum brackat to carry this from 12mm x 3mm strip. It’s early days but this does seem to be a great little device.

Just about the perfect bus for an ultra-light astrophotography portable setup. If it had switching it would be unbelievably handy but also probably much more expensive.

Highly recommended..!! Good solid build. Sorted my cable management issues and provides plenty of power options for all my gear at the scope. Runs a cooled camera, guide camera, auto focuser, auto filter wheel, NEQ6 mount plus 2 dew heaters without issue. Would suggest including a dovetail mounting shoe but still very happy with it anyway.

I purchased this awhile back and I’ve been testing it out for the last couple of weeks now and found it to work flawlessly. I’ve got my due heaters connected to it and the power supply for my camera, powering my zwo asi air and telescope mount There are lots of spare power points for me to use on more equipment as I get it. It also helps keep cables neat and tangle free

I highly recommend this power box. This has been great to clean up my main imaging rig. By adding this to my setup I was able to move everything onto my telescope and only have 2 cables coming off of it. 1 power cable and 1 usb cable to my EQ6R pro. I was able to remove AC cables and a power strip. I currently run a MelePC, ASI071MC Pro, SVBony 305c Pro, iOptron iEAF, dew heater, GPS dongle. I still have multiple DC ports, and USB ports available for further expansion.

Beautiful, lightweight, well-built, with everything you need, an excellent price-performance ratio, and very practical for controlling all your astrophotography equipment while simplifying cable management. My appreciation to Svbony, which offers amateur astronomers high-quality products at a very competitive price, and I encourage them to continue along this path. 100% recommended.

I recently ordered the SVBony SV241 power box and USB hub. At first glance this is a small thing, but it encapsulates diversity of options. One can use 6 ports providing 12 volts output. I like very much the option for 5v USB charging ports with nominal of 5 Amps. My aim is to use one of these ports for powering my RPi5 Indigosky unit and the other one I will use for a dew-heater (also ordered from SVBony). The USB hub has only 4 ports, but one of them is USB-C witch can be a solution for special needs. The look and feel of the device is great. And the final finish is pleasant to the eye. What I don't like is the dc input being 5.5x2.5. This is done as a precaution not to mistaken the input for output, but I think this solution will make more trouble and for future releases I would recommend SVBony makes all 12v ports 5.5x2.1. I am also curious if SVBony is going to provide the same device but controllable with an interface, where the 12v outputs can be manually regulated regarding the amperage and also where the consumption can be checked/seen. I will extend this review when I test it in the field with full load.

Concentrador CC-USB sencillo y bien construido, simplifica mucho la gestión de cables lo cual es una gran ventaja. Por el momento va genial, hace su propósito correctamente a un precio muy competitivo.

I'm using this box with SV605cc, SV905c, EQ-5 Pro and NINA. All the equipment is visible and controllable via NINA. Power delivered via cables to mount and the camera, via USB to a Light drawing board. All good!

Been using the SV241 for the last 4 nights. Running mini pc, mount and camera via the DC out and also have usb to camera, guidecam and mount.Been working perfectly, glad I got it as now only have I'm now running everything from a single power input instead of 3. A lot tidier now. Thank you Svbony Website for a little silver magic box.

I been waiting for a reasonably priced power box,and SVBONY's one is exactly what I needed.I purchased it immediately pre release and have received it and installed it on my SVBony 503 102ED refractor telescope,Work as it should, thanks SVBONY!

I just received my package with the SVBony SV241 USB/Power HUB. The first things I notice are its compact size, solid metal construction, and excellent finish. I connected it for testing with my AZGTI mount using an EQMOD cable, a ZWO 462MC guide camera, a ZWO 533MC main camera with cooling ON, an automatic focuser with a NEMA17 motor, and two dew heater strips. Additionally, I tested connecting an external HDD, an external SSD, and a USB WIFI adapter to verify USB 3 transfer speed, and I was amazed by its reliability and speed. It’s a great purchase that simplifies my astrophotography setup.

Connected and worked as described...Neat little box with plenty of connection possibility. Im happy with it!!!!

I got 2 of them they are sweet

I connected the SV241 to my StellarMate setup, and routed all of the USB connections through it. Connected the power cables between the mount, camera and SV241. Connected the power supply to the SV241. That was it. Worked immediately. No need to play around. Highly recommended as a way to both simplify, and streamline, your rig.

This was exactly what I was looking for, a simple USB and powerhub. Most of the time, I don't need the fancy controllable ports which makes most powerboxes so expensive. This little unit does exactly what I needed, provide a powerhub and additional usb-ports to go along with either a normal raspberry-pi or a mini-pc.

Great little power box. works like a usb hub, very simple to use with nothing to set up. (Love it!) also very solid and well made.

The hub looks great, for a fraction of the money, I could spent. Will test it in a couple of days, but as I know Svbony, everything is going to be OK

With this price I was pleasantly surprised when SVBony informed me of this new product. I have been searching for a compact and cost effective power management device for quite some time. I received the unit two days ago and the first look at the product is no surprise in terms of quality and finish as I have had other well built SVBony products already. I put it on my telescope today replacing my powered USB hub and tested it working for all my gears. Understand that this unit is manual control only, I am happy to see all my devices are connected through NINA on my computer. The next big step is to see how stable this unit is during the photo session. Praying for a clear sky...

Nice tiny size. Yes, the body is aluminum and the fit and finish is superb. Connections are nice and tight on each port. If the skies are clear in LA, I'll take it out to test it.

Just received mine I’m impressed with the quality.

I got the Svbony powerbox, loving the small form factor.

I've always found Svbony equipment to be very reliable.

It has all the USB ports and 5v USB power and 12v ports I need to connect to main and guide scope, EAF, AAF, dew shields and powdering the mount. It also came with a car cigarette plug for power stations.

I wanted to update my review for this item. Noticed a few nice features. 1) this box is solid and made from metal not plastic. 2) just noticed the little 5v and 12v LEDs to validate you are getting the correct voltage which is nice. Very handy little power box with usb and plenty of power connectors. My only complaint (and this is a small Complaint) is it did not come with mount or Velcro wrap to attach to one of the legs of the tripod. I would give this five stars if it did. I ended up using Velcro and sticking it to the mount but time will tell how long it holds. Other than that highly recommend for anyone needing extra power plugs and a nice usb hub. Please note the usb connection is usb 3.1 but does have usb 2 onboard as well as USB3 and USB-C.

Aluminum body, tight connections, it really solved my messy cables..

This solved my power problems and gave me extra ports. I love this little box. Just received and have had for about a week. As expected from SVBONY the build quality is great and they included extra power cables in the box which was a nice surprise. I used Velcro to mount my his box to my tripod and worked like a charm! Highly recommend if you need extra power and usb ports on your setup! Love it!

Quick and easy design of a small dovetail-mount for the new SV241 power box.

Reached me SV241.It promises to be a good solution that should satisfy many.

The unit SV241 works perfect for my rig, SV503 ED refractor. Great unit! Worth the money.

Really shocked by the quality, it makes astrophotography affordable! nice work!

This IO and power block works great. Only problem I had was the mounting holes. I wound up velcroing it to the scope instead.
