The Real Shot Image by SV503 102mm OTA

The Bundle Set of SV503 102mm by Our Clients

i have bought the SV Bony 102mm f/7 size last week -just waiting for good seeing conditions, all extremely well made and nice features

I owned a 102/1000 mm F10 Bresser achromat for some time, now I purchased the Svbony 102mm ED FPL51 and its significaltly better with a lot less chromatic aberrations. I like this refractor a lot, especially because it's sold for an excellent price

I have the 102 and the 70 and I love them! Glad at got them before the tariff war being in the states!

I purchased the 503 102ed during the Black Friday sale with competitive price. Thanks svbony. I can proceed my hobby.

I bought this scope over five weeks ago and wished to share my experience with you. Wow, this telescope really delivers excellent views. I can honestly say that there is no chromatic abberations what's so ever either low or high power. I have had the best views of Venus, jupiter, mars, star clusters and nebulas I have ever seen in my life. The planets all showing increadable details in fact, I recently took mars upto x350 for great details that I wanted to knock on my neighbours doors and drag them out to have a look but reality took hold and I said to myself that they would not understand. I have been stargazing for well over thirty years and have had dozens of scopes. I currently have a 127mm maksutov telescope and 90mm doublet refractor and the svbony sv503 102mm ED totally blows them away. This scope is a keeper and want to say a big Thank you to svbony for a wonderful telescope.

I have the 503 102 for over a year now, and I love it. I also have newtonians and SCT's but the SV503 have become my primary telescope. I use it for astrophotography only. I can recommend using a MONO camera and HA, S2 and O3 filters. You will be amazed with the results. Best thing is the SV503 is very easy to maintain. No calibration or corrections. Just point and capture, and explorer the universe.

The 503 102 is a good choice. It is just big enough to enjoy some details in distant DSOs and small enough to get a decent field of view as well. Alternatively, I have opted to not use the reducer/flattener to maximize focal length for some targets as well.

I have tested it's SV503 102mm refractor. Pretty good, stars are sharp and round everywhere. Light weight too .

i have the 503, 102 for a few years now and i really like it, i use it with my asi 585 and it produces images i am happy with for the price of the setup. it seems to be a good match for a smaller censor i think most people buying a cheaper beginner telescope like this are not going to have an expensive apc sized cooled camera anyway. the chromatic aberration is a pain but it can mostly be sorted out in pixnsight.

Great scope for Astrophotography beginners. It is well constructed and made solid. It's compact. Easy to breakdown, pack it up and move around. However, I only had once chance to use it since received. Mostly cloudy nights, not good for observations. During the one night used, it performed great with my onboard planetary software, PHD2, Sharpcap and CDC. I was able to capture the M42 briefly as a test run. It turned out well for the first time. This is a great scope considering the cost. I was looking for something that wouldn't break the bank. I'm totally satified with it. I went further installing the ZWO EAF auto focuser. It works great and perfect match for the scope, easy to install. The ZWO ASI533 mc pro camera is compatible with the scope. Perfect match. I highly recommend this scope for beginners, like me!

I bought the SV503 102ED telescope back in April of 2024. I was very impressed with the construction of the scope and the apparent overall quality. It took a few months for me to find a mount for it, but I did find one. Mount a little wobbly, but it works for now. I the scope to an Open House at an Observatory my astronomy club helps out with and everyone that looked through it was amazed how clear everything looked through it. I do have to say that the view though this scope is amazing compared to my other scopes. The only other telescope I have that beats this one is my light bucket 12inch Dob. I would and have recommend this telescope to anyone regardless of what level they are at. Good beginner, intermediate, or advanced telescope. This one will be in my collection for a very long time. GOOD JOB SVBONY!!!!!!

Really love the image quality and sharpness you get out of this! Absolutely incredible scope coming from a beginner that has only used an entry level Newtonian reflector. I am having to buy various attachments as I realize what I need, but I suppose that just comes with getting in to a new hobby. For attaching a canon camera, I need to use an svbony canon to 48mm adapter, along with the 48mm to 1.25” adapter that came with it, but if I want to buy the 0.8x field flattener, then i can use the canon to 48mm adapter *without* the 1.25” adapter. But the field flattener won’t work with the other 1.25” adapters I have. Anyhow, that has nothing to do with the scope itself! Construction is top notch. I definitely recommend this Refractor!

I have the 102 mm ED verson from Svbony. I have used it for visual observations and photography, it's very very nice for the planets and the Moon (with filter) clearly better than my Bresser 102/1000 mm achromat. It also has an excellent focuser.

I've been using this scope for almost 2 years. Primarily DSO astrophotography with some visual use. I have zero complaints.

This refractor has a fantastic price performance and quality ratio. The image quality is significantly better than that of a 102/1000 mm F10 achromat, which I used before purchasing the Svbony 102/714 mm ED. It's focuser is also excellent, very smooth and pleasent to use. I highly recomand this telescope.

Have had my SV503 102mm for a few weeks now and is very pleased. Changed out my 10" dob for the SV503 to get more usage and flexibilty. And what a pleasant surprice it has been. Bought it with a SA409-SA410 tripod and a SV222 prism and a few baader hyperion i already owned to get a big spotting scope and a vercitile optical astro telescope. It matches my fathers more expencive spotting scope in the nature and excel it on astro objects. I can easily see the individual rings of saturn and the bands and spot on jupiter. Havent had the chance to watch andromeda or the orion nebula yet. I will have many nice sessions with it for years to come. Very pleased with my purchase and would higly recomend the SV503

I own the Svbony 102/714 mm for 6 months now, previosely I had a Bresser 102/1000 mm F10 achromat and the Svbony 102 ED has a much better optical quality and performance. Also the 2 speed focuser is infinitely better than the ones used on simple achromats.

I bought this exact OTA a month ago and I tried planetary photography and the results surprised me a lot.

I bought the SV503 80 and I'm very happy with it's performance and build quality.

I have the svbony 503 80ED and the sv550 122mm, I started astrophotography seriously at the end of last year.I'm a real fan of the Svbony brand.

The SV503 telescopes are awesome for this price-range. And especially the 102mm is the best choice for both visually observing and astrophotography.

I own this 102ED myself, and I am planning to add a mono camera and filters ouch instead of getting a triplet/APO

I purchased the 503 80ED last year after having entered into AP and had no idea what a doublet was. I found that the quality was great considering it was my first refractor.

This is the exact telescope I use with an ASI2600MC. With a 0.8X FF/FR and a Pegasus Focus Cube, this was the best rig I could afford.

I have the the 80mm version of this scope. I think for the price it's very good. It's not as good as a triplet but the difference is not big, mainly slight halos on bright stars. It's well built and nice to use. I have the reducer for it as well. It's my go to scope and I really like it.

I bought a SV503 102mm ED as my first ever scope in early 2022. It has proven to be a sturdy and well manufactured piece of equipment that is a pleasure to use for astrophotography. There is no evidence of any fringing or aberration in my images. The focuser is very smooth to use and remarkably stable over a deep-sky photography session. The auto focuser was easily installed as per SVBony's recommended method and handles the task without difficulty. Teamed up with the SV106 guide scope and Phd2 software, the combination produces clear and well contrasted images. There is some field curvature out near the edges of the images but I am confident that the flattener that I have on order will fix that. I have to say that I actually much prefer using the SV503 rather than my more recently purchased 8" SCT. All in all, a great buy..!!

I purchased the SV503 102ed scope and the sv193, 0.8 reducer and just last night had the chance to put it to use. I added the sv503 70mm scope as it's guide scope. Added the ASI1600mm pro camera and after the Horsehead Nebula was in striking distance, I managed to get a few HA shots and then stacked them. Only using 5 images at 5 minute subs, I was blown away at the quality of the picture. Of course, using Narrow band filters there was no CA at all, even still, I was thoroughly impressed and pleased with the quality of the pictures. SVBONY did an excellent job with this scope. There is no place to add a picture here otherwise I would have shared that with you.

I bought the 102 version last month. I'm under Bortle 8 skies, so even my C6 has contrast issues . Yet, the Svbony, under full magnification 200x (using your favorite Baader Zoom and barlow set) at Jupiter and Saturn worked very well.

Hey guys, I recently got a new refractor. The Svbony SV503 ED 102/714. My first refractor with ED glass. In terms of quality, the whole telescope comes across at a high level. It is built solidly and just feels valuable. The dual-speed-RAP-focuser is my highlight! My God! It glides so nice and soft ... now focusing is always a pleasure. Nothing grinds when focusing and there is also no silicone grease that sticks to the fingers. A rotating focuser and ring clips add value to the telescope. But even such simple parts as the screws are milled very filigree and can be moved very smoothly. The lens cap is made of metal and sits well on the dew cap, which can also be moved. That reduces the dimensions during transport. Without tube rings, the tube weighs 3353 g. The ED glass makes a very nice, clear image. Chromatic aberrations only come to light at high magnification and in certain light situations. Finally I can make observations during the day (with low power eyepieces) without disturbing chromatic aberrations. Just yesterday I was watching the moon and I didn't notice any chromatic aberrations! Not even with my Baader Classic Ortho 6mm! Maybe it was because of the position of the moon... I don’t know… All I can say: Svbonys ED-Glas is in no comparison to an achromatic lens! And the negative? It's just a shame that the Svbony doesn't have a 120mm opening. I would buy again!
