I really like it! Pin sharp optics right across the field of view. Great flat field, close focusing and excellent glare suppression. Lovely, easy view and it has a number of very endearing ergonomic features.

The days of paying a premium for high quality optics are over. These sa205 8x42 check all the boxes and rate up there with instruments 3 x as expensive. A super product, the only all-rounder you will ever need. The view is of excellent resolution, very clear and with ease of use . Highly recommended.

My five stars based on value and performance. We know there are better binoculars out there if you're willing/can pay. I have much better and far worse binoculars than my SA 205 8x42s to compare them with. I think great optical and mechanical value for the money, and many people would not want or need a better binocular. I find myself picking them up to look at the mountains because they are small, light, and quick and easy to focus while providing great clear views. My Nikon EDG 10x42 does focus just a tiny bit smoother. My Monarch HD 8x30 is pretty darn stiff and the SA205 is far far superior, easier and quicker to catch a bird in flight. At over 400 ft, the field of view is great and although not razor sharp to the edge, it is very sharp and bright. If I only had the SA205 8x42 as my only 8x42 binoculars, I'd get by plenty fine.

I was so excited to finally have an affordable compact binocular. These binoculars are nice, lightweight, clear, and cheaper. It has high light transmission due to its larger objective lens.

The SA205 binocular is phase coated, although not specified in the specs. Can be tested against a monitor with a polarizing filter or against "light" with 2 polarizing filter (on "front and back"). The near focus limit was measured here with 1.4 meters, remarkable indeed! regards

Механіка точна і якісна. - Хотілось би трошки довші висувні наочники, ще на + 1 позицію. Цей бінокль безумовно вартий своїх грошей і справляє найкраще враження. Був куплений на подарунок, але планую купити ще один собі. Mechanika je přesná a kvalitní. - Chtěl bych trochu delší výsuvné očnice, o + 1 pozici. Tyto dalekohledy rozhodně stojí za ty peníze a udělají ten nejlepší dojem. Byl koupen jako dárek, ale plánuji si koupit další pro sebe. Delivery to the Czech Republic is fast and without problems (I chose the most expensive one). Excellent binoculars, the image quality is very high, without noticeable aberrations, the collimation is very accurate. The mechanics are accurate and high-quality. I would like a little longer retractable eyecups, by + 1 position. These binoculars are definitely worth the money and make the best impression. Was bought as a gift, but I plan to buy another one for myself.

The metal focus wheel is deeply knurled and is easy to engage with. It rotates very smoothly with no free play in either direction. 1.5 revolutions anticlockwise brings you from one end of its focus travel to the other. It’s highly responsive, requiring only a light touch to dial up the best views.

The right eye dioptre on the SA 205 8 x 42 is a real treat. Instead of just rotating smoothly, it has click stops that are very easy to adjust and keep the user’s preferred position firmly. I consider this nothing short of a brilliant piece of mechanical engineering. Eye relief is excellent however. I was able to easily see the entire field wearing eyeglasses. The ocular lenses are large and easy to centre one’s eyes in. It is small and lightweight, yet is tough and durable. Grand fan de jumelles depuis des années, j'ai acheté ce modèle par curiosité pour voir ce que donne un champ plat. Je possède déjà les SV202 8X32 dont je suis vraiment très satisfait au vu du prix où je les ai payés (83€) et de la qualité à tout point de vue. Il n'y a pas mieux sur le marché pour ce modèle. En ce qui concerne les SA205 8x42, nous sommes là sur une qualité exceptionnelle dans cette gamme de prix (achetées 151€). Elle valent largement une paire de deux à trois fois plus chère de grandes marques réputées, j'en suis quasiment certain! C'est net jusqu'à presque 90 % du champ, les aberrations chromatiques sont très bien corrigées, le contraste et le piqué sont très bons, la profondeur de champ est vraiment agréable, la luminosité et le rendu des couleurs sont excellentes, l'ergonomie est très bonne et les matériaux de construction sont très soignés. Les seuls deux petits défauts que je peux noter son le poids un peu lourd pour le format 8x42 (plus de 750g) et les oeilletons qui ont un mauvais crantage lors des réglages du relief d'oeil. Il y a 4 ou 5 positions mais qui ne sont pas précises. Mais cela n'est pas gênant si on les déplie totalement. En conclusion, c'est vraiment une paire de jumelles qui a été très bien construite et étudiée du point de vue technique, qualité et construction et qui vaut vraiment le coup à ce tarif.
