These are interesting optics and with only a 2.1 magnification but a very clear and simple light path, the viewer gets large field viewing. I used these in the Arctic for better observing the Northern Lights. The deep DOF is also a feature. It says it takes 2” filters, but there is no guidance on which filters (in a pair) work best. It would help if Svbony recommended which filters work best with these unique binoculars. I am hesitant to purchase filters as an experiment.

Skvelý ďalekohľad na večerné pozorovanie oblohy, prípadne na rozvietene mesto. Potesil ma viac ako veľký astronomicky ďalekohľad. Cena oproti konkurencii je super. SVBONY mi spravil radosť.

My SV407 binoculars arrived earlier than expected. They look and feel like a quality instrument. Viewing conditions in the U.K. are poor at the moment but I will be taking them to the Mediterranean and hope to enjoy dark skies from the deck of a ship.

I always wanted to actually "see" the constellations. I have telescopes and binoculars but they offer too much magnification. In my light-polluted city, I can barely make out the outlines of constellations and some I don't see at at all; I only know what they look like from diagrams. With these low-magnification binoculars, I could finally see the trapezoid that is the constellation Lyra, and the Teapot was excellent. I could see the handle and the spout. I could just fit in the Big Dipper. Larger constellations like Scorpius and Cygnus need some panning but I could see extra stars that I don't usually see naked eye. The binoculars have the capability to accept 2" filters so I ordered two UHC filters for light pollution. They make the sky darker and the constellations a little easier to see but I could see fine without them as well. They are under a pound and have a nice sturdy case in which to keep them. I am glad I invested in these as part of my arsenal for night sky viewing!
