Warning
1.Always make sure the filter is well attached to the telescope/binoculars/camera. in case necessary, use sticky tape to secure it. never observe sun without a properly attached filter.
2.Never use your telescope if the sun filter is any disrepair, otherwise permanent eye damage will result.
3.Because of the larger diameter, some solar filters may have wavy line on the film which will not have any effect for observation.

The filter is very well constructed. I like the rubber tipped mounting screws with the secondary locking ring. This filter in combination with the solar finder is a perfect pair. The image quality is great. If you like solar observing or solar photography I would recommend this filter.
Wanted to have the ability to take solar photos without the risk of damaging equipment and my eyesight. I also have muliple lenses with different outer diameter sizes and wanted something that could be used for my lenses and not purchasing individually sized filters. It is very well constructed and firmly mounts to my multiple lenses. I really like the rubber tipped mount screws that doesn't damage the outer finish on my lenses. It also creates beautiful photos with little post editing.
Bought this inexpensive solar filter which is spec'd to fit tube diameters of 80mm to 118mm and it fits well on my 2 spotting scopes: (1) SV406P ED 80mm (outside light-shade diam of 95mm) (2) SA401 APO 100mm (outside light-shade diam of 117mm). The SA401 fit is very very close but fits safely with the 3 adjustment screws just pushing against the light shade. For the SV406P, the 95mm outer diam is smaller than the inner ring of the solar filter so need a bit of care to avoid the SV606P from touching the filter foil. A suggestion is to use the objective lens-cap thin rubber fastening ring to define a safe filter position .. covering about 20mm of the SV406P end is a good position. Haven't have a great chance yet to test but with slightly hazy intermittent clouds, a preliminary shot of fairly small sunspots with the SV406P looks reasonably impressive for a filter at this great price point.
