SV225 telescope mount is fantastic and strong. I own TWO of these mounts for 80mm and 90mm refractors and highly recommend them smooth object viewing. One issue is male connection into the adjustable angle female vertical arm is not tight enough. That is totally OK with me, as an easy solution is placing 3 inches of electrical tape (1mm thick) onto the male portion, which removes ALL free play in the mount base/arm connection. IMO that knowledge should be recommended in SV225 Instruction Manual. SV225T tripod is an excellent design and very sturdy. It works perfect with a SV225 mount. The SV225T tripod might look a bit short… But the SV225 telescope mount adds another 12.5” to vixen shoe height for the telescope. You can also improve the tripod by adding a simple round 4mm thick rubber piece as a gasket between the SV225T tripod and SV225 mount. Always best to not have metal sitting on metal. I highly recommend this SV225T tripod for very stable viewing of DSOs.

I have really grown to appreciate the build quality and professional features of this tripod and mount. It is very quality and extremely sturdy. This mount and tripod does not feel cheap at all and is professional grade in my opinion. Has slow motion controls which is really nice and allows you to mount just about anything to it. I have my SV503 80mm F7 ED mounted to it and it works like a dream! I am planning to purchase a second one of these for my MAK as well. Great design!
