SV240 1.25inch Multi-Narrowband Filter

The Multi-Narrowband filter is designed for astrophotography, allowing you to capture most deep sky objects, including galaxies, reflection nebulae, emission nebulae, and star clusters, across a range of Bortle conditions (from Bortle 1 to Bortle 8). It is especially effective in light-polluted environments, enabling imaging under bright man-made light and moonlit conditions. Ideal for One-Shot Color cameras, this filter allows you to capture color images without the need for multiple filter combinations. It offers high transmittance of key emission lines (Ha/OIII/H-Beta) in the visible spectrum, enhancing signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and contrast. Additionally, it passes near-infrared light, enabling imaging of deep sky objects that other filters may not capture.

multi-bandpass filter

The 300-1100 nm working wavelength of this multi-narrowband filter provides wider coverage, enhancing its ability to tackle light pollution.

The multi-narrowband filters can be resistant from Bortle 1 to Bortle 8 cities, suitable for almost all urban.

If you have different astrophotography systems, no need to prepare dedicated filters; one SV240 can meet your needs due to its high compatibility. The SV240 multi-narrowband filter adds high transmission in the near-infrared (NIR) band. This spectrum design improves the image signal-to-noise ratio and contrast by capturing signal in visible bands and NIR regions while maintaining good colour balance and being easier to manage in post-processing.

I've used this filter a few times on emission nebula and am very pleased with it. There is very little halo around bright stars, I believe better performance than Optolong filter in its class. I have recommended this filter to a few Astro buddies, and they are very interested, especially the price point.
