The W2054A/W2054B is adjustable and comes with a tool. The inner ring is for horizontal adjustment, which is made by three screws on the side. Free the inner ring. The 48mm edge is relatively thin and may be offset, making it impossible to connect. After loosening the screws, connect the lens directly. Then just refasten it again.

Item appears to be as described. Is made of aluminum, so has a bit of heft to it. Fits my Canon DSLR with no problems.
