I bought this Barlow 3X to observe planets & the moon from closer and without having to buy all these additional expensive eyepieces. The image is crisp through this good quality Barlow, though I'm pushing my telescope at the limit of it's magnification with 3X, but if you unscrew the bottom part of the Barlow and just use the bottom, you get 1.5X magnification. It's a neat little feature to be able to unscrew the bottom and have a different magnification power. Note that if your image isn't resolving nicely with this Barlow, the issue is likely that you are using too much magnification for your telescope or you have poor viewing conditions.

Its a pretty nice barlow, built well while still being light and locks properly too, with a nice look and feel to it. The grip is nice too. Optical quality is nice, even though I rarely use it except for planetary use. Gets dirty easily though, like it collects dust REALLY well compared to any other eyepieces.

The SV137 1.25Inch FMC Internal Brass Ring 3x Barlow, is very nice to look and feel it out of the box. Also the design and build quality is very good and light in weight. It's really great to see it comes with multi coated optics. The SV137 1.25Inch FMC Internal Brass Ring 3x Barlow is great value for money, and it will be a great edition to anyone's eyepiece collection.
