APO Astro Camera Lense | SVBONY SV535

Product Review

Windy, Poor seeing, not a long window to image? The SV535 might well be your solution. 35mm of Aperture sounds too small to be useful, but this fast lens is quite effective on big targets. Flexible in that it can be used with a mirror less camera or an astrocamera. All my images here have been taken around April in poor seeing conditions. Filters screw into the front of the lens and I found this quite effective, and perhaps even necessary for large stacks. The first image near the Lobster Nebula uses the SVBONY dual band HaO filter. The next two images are of the Rho Antares region and have no filter and I suspect the slightly shiny filter thread region might be the source of a small thin artefact around Antares in these photos. The first two images used a 2600mc camera, the third used (much lesser number of frames and a less discernable artefact captured by) a Nikon Z6 camera. I had no trouble with (manual) focus or with fitting this lens to the mirrorless camera or the astrocamera. So great outcomes for the price! Makes one wonder if it could be scaled up to a 70mm version! How this scope could be improved? Better matte blackening on the, still, shiny black dew shield rings and threads. Provision of accessories for the option to easily mount an autofocuser and controller (perhaps like the SV545), and room to mount a guidescope shoe when larger cameras are used. And of course, a cap for the dew shield.

SV106 Guide Scope 50mm with Helical Focuser for Astronomical Telescope

Can't Really Tell

No manual!! No instructions on how to attach or use the scope!! That, alone, makes the scope useless. It does not attach to my telescope. No explanation on website and certainly no manual to tell me what to do. Apparently an additional bracket is needed to attach the scope bracket to the telescope tube. No idea where I can find that. Then, too, using the combined camera is unclear because, that too, has no manual!! The scope seems sturdy enough and seems well made. But the support in ZERO!

SC101 Smart Bird Feeder With Camera Auto Capture HD Bird Videos For Birdwatcher IP66 Waterproof

Wish I could set it up

I was so excited to get this. But there are so many things that are not covered in the instructions. So here it sits on my coffee table as I try to actually set up the solar panel, the camera, setting it up in a tree. The instructions totally skip the very beginning - charging, solar panel, etc etc. I will continue to try to figure it out

SVBONY SC002 WIFI Electronic Eyepiece Camera for Birding Digiscoping

Product Review

I ordered this camera based on the clips I watched on YouTube. It is very easy to use and can be used on most binoculars, spotting scopes, telescopes... It is much easier to install than any combination of a smartphone and adapter. The less good side is that the sensor resolution is low. It may be fine for video, but the photos are of insufficient resolution. The application that can be downloaded from the Google Store works very well. Keep in mind that everything it records is recorded only at the full position! Zoom 1,2 and 3 are only used to view and adjust the focus of your camera! There are clips on YouTube where this is falsely presented. This is a device that can help someone a lot because it is very easy to use and the results, especially for video, are quite acceptable. My advice to Svbony is to install a better sensor with a higher resolution, then this would be great!

SV214 Classic Photography Adapter for Smartphone

SVBONY SV224 Universal Dovetail Base for Finder Scope Telescope Mount

I Would Have Rated It 5 Stars But . . . I would have given this finder scope mount bracket 5 stars but it has two significant issues: 1) The bracket itself is a little too tight. Some of my dovetails would not fit into it (the very top portion of the bracket is just a hair too small). This problem is easily resolved with just a couple quick swipes with a file, but it does result in removing the black finish where I had to file (see photo). 2) The second issue is that the documentation indicates that the slots for the screws are 5.1mm wide. This is not true. I measured several times and consistently came up with 4.19mm wide (see photo). If you were counting on that 5.1mm width, you're going to be disappointed and will probably have to file or drill it out to size. Other than these two issues, the bracket is well made and works for me after some minor modifications.

SVBONY SV224 Universal Dovetail Base for Finder Scope Telescope Mount

Bracket good, screws bad Bracket just fits my C8 and works well. The screws provided were the right diameter but the wrong thread pitch. If you use them they will strip out the holes in your telescope. I reused my old screws even though they are a bit short.

SVBONY SV149 Canon DSLR Lens to 1.25" Eyepiece/Astro Camera Adapter

This will not fit 48mm threads I have returned mine, the quality and all included was nice, but it was m42, and even, what is now standard in this industry, the 42mm adapter that is installed on this, and that can be removed will not fit the 48mm adapter that I had. So if you plan using it with that adapter or in m48 skip this item.

SV155 1.25 inch 7-Piece Filters Set for Moon Viewing Telescope Filter

Too Large for Skywatcher Evostar The filter looked nice and threaded on to the diagonal and eyepiece well, however if was to large to fit in the scope. It may work with other scopes but my ED100 not so much. I have other Svbony stuff and have been happy this one is just a miss by a tiny bit.

SV155 1.25 inch 7-Piece Filters Set for Moon Viewing Telescope Filter

Quantity over quality I'm new to visual astronomy, and bought a set thinking something in here would help. Not too impressed with any of it. The moon filter would be helpful if these were double threaded, but they aren't. Without being able to stack filters, the moon filter is way too weak for a 10" aperture scope. None of the other filters have seemed to help with city light pollution, or deep sky objects. Hindsight being 20-20, I would have passed on this set, which is pretty much worthless for visual astronomy. Instead (and is what I'm doing now), I would have started with a couple of double threaded moon filters. Then a UHC filter. Then maybe trying an O3 filter. None of which were included in this set.

SV155 1.25 inch 7-Piece Filters Set for Moon Viewing Telescope Filter

Good glass lenses. But not threaded on both sides. All the filter lenses are good quality. Moon filter is a bit light compared to my Celestron Moon 13% filter. I did not realized that they are not threaded on both sides, so you cannot "stack" the filters. Bummer.

Svbony SVN O1 Wireless Daisy-Chain Conference Omni Microphone

Easy setup upEasy setup up I wanted this conference speaker to make online meetings a little easier, and it works fine. Setup was simple. It is plug and play ready, and I was able to connect it through USB and Bluetooth without installing any apps. The audio quality is decent. Voices come through clear for meetings, and the built in microphones do a reasonable job picking up sound around the room. The 360° pickup works for small groups, although people farther away sound a little quieter. It does reduce background sounds like typing, though some noise still gets through depending on the environment. Battery life is okay. It lasts long enough for several meetings during the day, but if you’re using it constantly you may need to recharge often.

Svbony SVGO3 4K Action Camera Magnetic Quick Release Waterproof Video

Was ist gut?

SVbony SVGO2 Action Camera 4K 30fps IPX8 Waterproof Diving Vlog

SVBONY SV48P 90mm f/5.5 Achromatic Refractor Telescope OTA for Imaging

Not bad. Decent beginner scope. Low aperture is great, but I’m not a huge fan of the weight distribution on the scope. Also bright stars have pretty bad diffraction spikes. Does the job however, and a cheap alternative as a deep sky astro scope. (An example of the diffraction spikes in the pleiades image below)

SV41 Pro 28-84x80 Mak Spotting Scope for Camera Birding Photography
