Svbony SV154 2" 26mm SWA 70° Super Wide Angle Telescope Eyepiece

I own several stock eyepieces, as well as a set of SVBONY 1.25" UFF eyepieces, which I have been very satisfied with. But the first time I looked through this 2" eyepiece with my 8-inch Newtonian telescope, I was genuinely amazed. It felt as if the universe suddenly opened up in front of me. The wide field of view makes observing much more immersive and gives you a completely different perspective compared with standard eyepieces. Considering how affordable this eyepiece is, I can strongly recommend it to anyone who enjoys visual astronomy. For me, it has definitely changed the way I experience the night sky. Unfortunately, I haven’t yet had a chance to try it with my refractor, but based on my experience with the Newtonian, I expect a similarly noticeable improvement over the stock eyepieces. A small bonus: I also used this eyepiece during a stargazing party I organized, where we were observing the Sollar eclipse through a properly filtered telescope. I noticed that visitors could quite easily take quick snapshots through the eyepiece simply by holding their phones to it. During a previous lunar eclipse observation with my 1.25" eyepieces, doing the same thing handheld was almost impossible for most people. I wasn’t expecting this to be such a noticeable difference, but for public observing it turned out to be a very nice practical advantage. For the price, this eyepiece has exceeded my expectations. I’m really impressed with it.

all i have to say is that i am in love with this small Petzval refractor. Paired with my APS-C cropped astronomical camera, AAF from Touptek and an the Svbony OAG i am more than sattisifed with the results- espacially looking at the price as well. Stars are looking good all over the place as well.

APS-C Color Cooled Astronomy Camera | SC571CC

Product Review

I decided to do an in depth review on the SC571CC for one main reason and that was to justify to myself that I had made the right decision, unlike social media influencers I will tell you I believe I did. What I liked straight away about the SC571CC is that it’s built well. It’s a robust metal camera, and everything about it feels solid. Once the drivers were installed (the usual “enter your email for permission” step on the Svbony site), it was literally a case of swapping out the Canon 850D, screwing in the new camera, and hoping everything would behave. On the SV545, this was completely straightforward everything screwed into everything else nice and tight with no flex. On my Askar 71F, I did run into a small hiccup the image train with the adapters that came with the camera wouldn’t seat firmly with the stock threading. The answer was to get a M48 to M42 adapter which fixed that problem and gave me a rigid train which is needed as the sc571cc has no tilt plate. I’ll admit I was a bit unsure about focusing at first. I’d got used to the 850D’s rear screen and live view zoom for fine focus, so moving to software based focusing felt like a leap. I have to be honest here I am lucky that my two scopes are flat field and don’t require 55mm back spacing however saying that it did take some trial and error to get the focus and spacing right for both scopes mainly due to user stupidity. But with 1 second looping on N.I.N.A. as long as you have a usb3 cable which comes with the camera and a fairly quick mini pc or laptop you will get focus, I did get focus as the photos prove. I won’t lie I do miss the DSLR method with the screen and 10 x zoom as taking the laptop out is a pain. Once everything was connected through N.I.N.A. I was able to set up the cooling and warming times and add them to the shooting sequences in N.I.N.A . To test the camera I chose four different targets two for my SV545 and two for my askar 71f this was to cover nebula with Optolong L-eNhance Tri Band Narrowband filter and a galaxy and the sun with the Svbony UV IR Cut Filter. I will give a brief description of each. The first target was the Sadr region with the crescent nebula I have attached the images so you can see the results. I am happy with the result from 50 x 300 second subs the crescent nebula almost seems to be flying through red clouds. The second target on the list was using the 71f to photograph andromeda as it fills the frame nicely. This was done with shorter subs as it’s a longer scope and the uv cut filter required by the Sc571 as it does not have a built in one. Th cut filter allows in more light than the L-eNhance. This was 70 x 180 second subs. Next the sun this was not the reason I got the camera but I thought it was a valid test to see how it worked. I used sharpCap for the first time and did manage to produce reasonable images and with time and understanding the software better there is no reason not to use it for solar moon and planets though if that’s your preference there are better cameras out there. Finally, the veil nebular where I compared 8 hours of subs on the canon 850d with the same amount on the SC571cc. This alone proved the difference the lights were taken on the same scope the sv545 with the same filter. The processing by the nature of the lights was different but I think the images speak for themselves. In conclusion yes I was right to take the leap and I know some people look down on Svbony but in my view they are wrong this camera is a fantastic bit of kit and I will get better at using it and look forward to producing more images if the sky stays clear long enough.

Refractor Telescope for Astrophotography SV503 80 | Svbony

Recently bought this telescope as my other telescope was becoming cumbersome to mount onto my tripod. My other scope was a 19lb (nothing added to it) 7" 180mm Mak-Cass. No issues with it optically; just becoming a chore mounting it. Was looking for a much lighter grab and go. So far, this has fit that bill quite well with BEAUTIFUL optics as well😊 I have viewed the moon both in daylight and at night. Simply breath taking for an 80mm ED scope. And needless to say a joy in mounting it to my Omegon Twinmaster mount/tripod. No vibration when shifting over to higher power observation. Ease of transportation to the field is wonderful.

SV190 Eyepiece 1.25inch UF18mm Ultra Flat Field FMC for Astronomy

I tried Svbony 190 UFF 18mm in a 114mm f8, 130mm f5 and 200mm f6 telescope. It preformed wonderfully in all three telescopes! Its easy to get lost in this eyepiece and forget your looking through a piece of glass. I highly recommend getting this eyepiece, its totally worth it!

I am using it in archery to check my arrows at the target in 70m distance and the spotting scopes that I can compare with are in double price.. It have great view and I can detect my arrows between others easily even in low light condition. I am very satisfied with this scope and I can't imagine the view of the SV406P. It can be more clear and bright from this?
