Great Camera I bought this SVBONY 605 camera because it was less expensive than competitive cameras with the same image sensor. This camera takes great images and works with the software that I use for automated astrophotography. I shared some of the photos with other members of the astrophotography community and people were impressed with the picture quality. I have used this camera weekly over the last several months and I am pleased with the performance and reliability. I do not have a camera from brand Z for comparison but, I trust the Svbony brand and I recently purchased the Svbony SV405 camera as it is on sale right now on svbony. In fact, I bought two of them!

Equivalent to the ASI533 Great camera! Just as good as the ASI533 without the exorbitant price.

Better than asiBetter than asi Constant issues with an asi533, they even sent a second unit and it wouldn’t even power on. Got this clone for $200 less and it came with a power cord and more adapters. Was up and running in 3 minutes, and the image is fantastic, if you can’t image with this camera you need to slow down, read, and try better software because I am far from an expert.

WOW - definitely can capture some great images quickly I live under Bortle 4 skies (rural/transition) so they are fairly dark. I have previously done a bit of astrophotography with a very small-chip astrocamera and an APS-C chip-sized DSLR camera. So I was able to put this camera on my 72mm ED-glass refractor and a good, driven equatorial mount and capture some amazing images in about an hour on the same night. The M42 nebula and M81 / M82 galaxies were both live-stacked in the SharpCap software that this camera is designed to use. I did do some post-processing, but not a lot. The M42 image shows a bit of red on one side because the nebula was starting to go behind a tree - it's not an artifact due to the camera in any way - just operator error (me!)., Also, I don't quite yet know how to process from this camera, so the colors are off a bit. Processing astrophotos is its own hobby and learning curve unto itself. The solar image is when I attached the camera to my Hydrogen Alpha solar telescope to see what solar flares and other phenomena I could capture. I also used Sharpcap to do this. It offers a pretty wide field of view from which to frame objects when using the 1-bin option in my 72mm f/6 telescope, though I am not quite sure I can get M31 fully even with a 0.8 reducer/corrector. You can opt for high binning options and gather more light in a narrower field of view with a bit more pixelation if you prefer. The chip is square, not rectangular. But any image can be cropped to any aspect ratio if the object is small enough too. The cooler was fantastic as I was able to cool the camera pretty quickly using Sharpcap - I still need to work on figuring that out though. And there's a lot of other features that I do not really yet know how to use fully. But having enough knowledge of astrophotography to be dangerous, I was able to set this up relatively quickly and get going and start capturing objects in about an hour outside. That said, there were several previous hours spent downloading updated drivers for my laptop and the camera, along with a pretty thorough perusal of the instruction manual for Sharpcap and the camera. Overall if you are familiar with astrophotography, have a decent telescope and a driven mount, it is relatively straightforward to use with a little knowledge. If you are NOT used to astrophotography, you may have a steep learning curve - but - plenty of people have dove right into this hobby and gotten pretty amazing results with some reading, asking questions of others in the astrophotography community on social media and in forums, and a lot of time outside under the sky. The camera comes with a nice carrying bag, a large USB cable, quite a few adapters for various telescope types and sizes, and a small but usable manual for the basics. This will be a really fun little camera to use for a long time. I would definitely recommend it. UPDATE 10/6/2023 I have taken more photos with this camera and it continues to perform very well. I added some images of the Veil, Swan and Lagoon Nebulas all taken with around an hour or so of livestacking with a bit of post processing. Not sure what software the other reviewer who left a one star review was using, but I have never had a problem with the cooling staying as the intended temperature (typically 0C when it is even 65F out) or line banding (literally seen none whatsoever on any images, darks, anything) or any other issues listed when I use SharpCap. I think the photos I posted speak for themselves - very good images are certainly possible, and I am still not even very proficient at this yet.

"SVBony SV555 first light reviewSVBony SV555 first light review SVBONY SV555 I don’t often complete an svbony review on products but this wholeheartedly does fully deserve one. At the start looking into the product, I had some reservations about the telescope based on reviews on YouTube, so reached out to the company selling the item Retevis Direct’ who reassured me that if issues were found they would be dealt with. This and the fact the items were being sold at very good price on svbony Prime Day, along with the fact that the advert alluded to the fact it was an updated version made me go for it. It dually arrived and I was initially a little disappointed that it was the older version not the new one as advertised on svbony, which did worry me a bit. I will say that as soon as I saw it, it shouted quality, and as an ex mechanical engineer, in my eyes it was a thing of beauty. So, I contacted Retevis Direct who apologised, stating they would amend the svbony advert which they quickly did, offering to exchange it for the new version at no extra cost to myself. I did give this some thought but to be honest not for very long, as previously stated I preferred the ascetics of the first version, So I recontacted RetevisDirect and said I would like to try it, to see if any quality faults did materialise, they came back and said that was fine and it could be returned directly to them at any time after the 30days, at again no cost to me and a new version would be sent from China at again at no cost to me, how’s that for excellent customer service, which I have never experienced in all my 67 years from any other supplier. Now those who are involved with astronomy know as soon as you buy a new piece of equipment the clouds role in, and boy they do role in across the North West England. So, what have I found when some clear skies eventually did arrive, well my approach was to set up the 55mm back focus without any filters, with the idea to look for pinched and non-round stars across the field of view. This approach resulted in no issues being found, which backed up a YouTube reviewers view that all issues had been sorted out with existing product still held by the company, so happy days. Please find attached a single 60 second image adjusted in Siril and Graxpert."

New Band Astrograph Lens APO Petzval for Deep-Sky Photography SV555 | Svbony

Da hat Svbony was richtig, richtig gutes geschaffen. Absolute Kaufempfehlung!

Excellent scope for the money I'm using this scope with the sv220 3nm filter, and I'm very pleased with how the stars are coming out (sharp all the way to the corners). I put 56mm of back focus (including the RF to R adapter) and it works great with a Canon mirrorless (infinity focus is not a problem on this new version of the scope).

My Go To scope! Out of all my scopes I find myself going back to this one often. It is also the one my pixel peeping club members were impressed with the images, when I even forgot to enable guiding. I don't even need to take flat frames as it is clean and it has no vignetting on my apsc sensor. Also it being very compact, it makes it an easy travel scope.

Great little astrograph... This is such a nice astrograph, very well made, you can feel the quality when you hold it. This is version 2 and it corrected the problems of version 1. It has a flat field to the edge of a full frame sensor. On top of that you have all you need for an auto focuser, minus the EAF itself. It's a hell of a deal for that price.

Great lens for astrophotographyGreat lens for astrophotography Having imaged for years with a Takahashi FSQ-106EDXIII as well as a Redcat 51, this lens was remarkable. Nice round stars across the field and little in the way of optical aberrations. Great value for the price. By the way, I left a bad review on a car part and now I can’t figure out how to change my name but I am NOT a disappointed customer!
