Great Scope, Excellent Support! This is my first ever telescope. So far I really love the quality. It's not too heavy, has a guidescope mount, 1.25 & 2" screws, came with a nice metal lense cover. I haven't had the chance to use it outside at night yet, but I took it outside during the day to practice focusing. I really love the smaller precision focus knob and bigger knob design. You can use the main but knobs to get in the ballpark of your focus range and then use the smaller knob for fine-tuning. I was able to get sharp and crisp focus with great color. As this was my first ever scope, I didn't know if I needed any additional accessories to pair this with my ASI planetary camera. SVBONY replied to me very quickly and helped me find the appropriate parts. I needed some extension tubes.

Best bang for the buck I couldn’t be happier…….. after a lot of shopping around, I finally settled on this one due to the reviews and its pricing. I have many hours of use, both astronomy and wildlife and have no issues with it. The only thing I’ve had to do is adjust the tolerance on the focusing mechanism which is normal.

Excelente calidad precio. Buena óptica en su rango. Primero habría que detallar el setup completo, porque el tubo no trabaja solo: SV48P 102mm SV188P diagonal SVBONY Barlow 2x SV191 ocular zoom 7.2–21.6 mm Montados sobre SV225 y trípode INNOREL RT90C Le hice pruebas intra y extra foco entre aproximadamente 120x y 147x usando Vega y Altair. El patrón de difracción se ve simétrico y concéntrico, sin problemas aparentes de colimación ni deformaciones ópticas. En observación lunar, el acromatismo recién se vuelve visible cerca del máximo aumento que uso (~184x), pero honestamente me resultó mucho menos molesto de lo que esperaba para un refractor acromático de esta relación focal. A menores aumentos prácticamente no lo percibo. La Luna se ve excelente, las estrellas enfocan puntuales y el telescopio soporta aumentos relativamente altos bastante bien cuando el seeing acompaña. También ayuda muchísimo tener una montura firme. El conjunto SV225 + INNOREL RT90C le da bastante estabilidad al tubo y mejora bastante la experiencia general. El tubo está bien trabajado y prácticamente todo es metal. Se siente robusto. En resumen, estoy bastante contento con todo el setup.

Exactly what I was looking for Really nice scope, there is some color fringing on bring objects, jupiter and venus are the two bright ones up right now. But otherwise it's really nice. I just got this for some visual use while I use another scope for astrophotography. Using 2 inch eyepieces is nice, let's you get some really nice bright views. I'm excited to use this when the milky way is higher in the sky. Very happy with it.

SVBONY SV48P 90mm f/5.5 Achromatic Refractor Telescope OTA for Imaging

Excellent optics and mechanics! This achromatic refractor is a winner. After my 3 star experience with the MK105 I was a bit skeptic but the 102mm sp48 was a different story. It arrived fast and very well packed. The overall impression was that of a well made quality instrument. The focuser worked smoothly. I set it up on one of my equatorial mounts and waited for a good clear sky night. The testing day arrived a couple of days later. My first target was the star Regulus. I used it for a star test. At low power the star looked like a bright point and the intra and extrafocal images looked good. The real test came when I increased the power to 250x using a good 2x barlow and a 4mm orthoscopic eyepiece. The star focused into a nice Airy disc surrounded by a first diffraction ring. This is waht you expect from a good refractor. Collimation was off by just a tiny bit. It was easily fixed by unscrewing a bit the objective retaining ring, tapping around the objective cell and screwing back the retaining ring but just enough for a snug fit. The telscope now showed a very nice collimation at high magnification. On the planets the telescope performed very well on the now small Mars planetary disc. It showed the polar cap and some albedo features. Not bad for an f/6.6 telescope being used at high magnification. Lunar features were crisp and clear. I could not see any violet fringing on the Moon. The star Spica showed very little violet at high power too. The fine focusing knob works great and is especially useful when using high magnification. In recent days I have been using this telescope to observe double stars. It is excellent for this purpose. I have been able to split close doubles easily at powers even above 250x. The telescope has not been tested for astrophotography yet but as a visual telescope this is a very nice instrument for the value. I read that the first batch had problems but apparently they were taken care of. This is a really good one SvBony.

Good value, seems rugged, does what it's supposed to do A break in the late-winter cold weather allowed me to get out and use this telescope for the first time. The seeing wasn't very good, but Jupiter was near the zenith and in the clear for about an hour. Using a Tele Vue 1.25" diagonal and a pretty good 12mm off-brand eyepiece, I could clearly see the equatorial cloud bands and all four Gallilean moons. The two-speed focus was a really big help and works well. Color fringing was minimal for a doublet objective and the moons were neat pins of light. Bright stars showed even abberation, nothing off-axis. This is a relatively simple telescope that is well-made and an excellent value at this price.

Amazing beginner telescope!Amazing beginner telescope! Amazing beginner scope for astrophotography . Im a beginner myself and find the scope an amazing fit for my needs. From nebula to lunar/planetary, it works great. With this scope expect a decent amount of CA (Chromatic Aberration). Not something you can fix entirely but it is possible to reduce the effects of it using filters and editing software if you’re into astrophotography. Viewing is also great! The focus controls work very well allowing you to easily fine tune the scope to your target. I would 100% recommend if you’re starting out with astrophotography and if you’re looking to play around with a beginner telescope for it. Below I’ve listed a few picture I’ve taken with the scope and DSLR. The 2 moon pictures are lucky stacked so they have lower quality. The real quality is very clean and crisp. Again just has that Chromatic aberration issue that you get with an achromatic telescope. And again i’m just a beginner at this so you could pull of some much better images with this scope!

Calidad a un precio accesible más que otras marcasCalidad a un precio accesible más que otras marcas Hermoso tubo óptico, llega en buenas condiciones. Vamos a calarlo en cuanto el clima esté propicio. No cuenta con tripié y base por lo tanto comprarlo significa hacer una inversión bastante costosa pero que vale por la calidad de la imagen.

Excelente!Excelente! Muy buen telescopio. Excelentes materiales de construcción, robusto. Muy bueno para visual, gran campo de visión, presenta aberración cromática esperado para un acromático, no es un ED o un APO (que cuestan el doble o más). Tomé estas fotos con un DSLR y la skywatcher az gti.

Solid Telescope This came packaged well and it is obiviously well made. I added my own mount, diagonal and eyepiece. It makes for a nice portable telescope. I've had excellent views of Jupiter and Orion Nebula with it. Very clear. Chromatic aboration is noticeable on the brighter objects, but not disburingly so. For the price point, an excellent telescope for visual astronomy.

Great scope, fantastic value, great performer. I am an experienced astrophotographer with several scopes. I thought I would give this inexpensive achromat a try. Wow, it exceeds my expectations. It's sharper than I thought it would be, and what little coma exists in the corners of the image are easily correctable in my processing software. The included photo of the Rosette Nebula was captured on my first night using the scope. There are a couple of minor little issues like the smoothness of the focus knobs, but given the image quality exceeding my expectations, I'll live with that - doesn't matter because I put an electronic auto focuser on it anyway. Great little scope, fantastic value, great performer.

Buen telescopio. Telescopio de 102mm de apertura con muy buen acabado y materiales. Sustituye a mi viejo 80mm y tras dos noches probándolo tengo que decir que la calidad/ precio de este telescopio es simplemente alucinante. No he tenido ningún problema con el enfoque ni con la lente, las cámaras para astrofotografía tampoco me han dado ningún problema al probarlas y la imagen aparece nítida pero... Al igual que todos los refractores acromáticos puede molestar la aberración cromática cuando quieres sacar buenas astrofotos. Aún así, con una sencilla lente de corrección cromática el problema se soluciona. Para observación de la naturaleza o planetaria, si no te importa la aberración cromática (que es mínima en este telescopio), puedes disfrutar de buenas imágenes y realizar buenas fotos.

Excellent telescope for the money Ok hands up I have become something of a SVbony fan over the last year or so as I have found their products very good value and good quality. I was interested in seeing how a refractor would stand up against the reflector telescope I am currently using and when Svbony has this unit on offer I jumped at the chance of trying one out. Unboxing So what do you get? Well to borrow terminology from the world of power tools this is a bare unit , on opening the strong and well padded box you find a basic manual and the telescope tube fitted with a dovetail mount bar and that’s it. You need to supply everything else such as mount ,tripod and eyepieces . If you are just starting out you would be better to purchase a all in kit but if like me you already have a range of eyepieces and mount then this works out much better as you can tailor things just how you want them. In use The telescope was tried out from home to compare it to my existing telescope, the site in question does suffer from light pollution due to street lighting however the overall image proved on par with my existing telescope and when paired with a 6mm, 68° Wide Angle Eyepiece gave excellent views of Saturn despite some haze. Looking to various stars the images were again crisp. The telescope has a dual focus system and I have seen some reports of this being gritty in use however I did not find this also having the fine focus control proved very useful. Summing up Overall I have been impressed with the build quality of this telescope and look forward to putting it to much more use in the future.

Mooi gebouwde, goede telescoop.Mooi gebouwde, goede telescoop. Ondanks wat wisselende recencies op internet de telescoop toch aangeschaft. Dit is de verbeterde versie met een soepele, goedwerkende focusser en keurige optische eigenschappen. Gebruik voor visueel en wat simpele astro-foto's met zwo asi662. Foto's zijn zonder de correctiefilter, die heb ik naderhand bijbesteld. Mooi ding en goed gebouwd. Kan tegen een stootje. Visueel heel scherp en helder!
