Apo AP 61/360 ZenithStar ZS61 II

Good Dual Band Want a nice well priced dual band filter here it is. Really knocks the starts down on some objects too. When your on an nebula that gets washed out by too many stars this is a great filter to use.

Svbony is really doing good work these days Wonderful filter, I live in a Bortle 5 and I've gotten the best images of Orion and Andromeda to date so far with it. I wouldn't recommend it for anyone living in a Bortle 3 or better though, you're just losing signal at that point. Also know your light pollution in your immediate area, these do not block local stray LED lights all that well. Keep in mind the final image is always 90% the skill of the edit more than anything, but I insist these are a step up from what I had before with just an IR/UV cut filter instead.

Great deep sky filter! For astrophotography, this is a great filter especially for DSLR 35mm cameras. Attaching the filter to my SVBony filter holder and field flattener, I was able to get much better and brighter deep sky photos with better results in less time. No photos were taken with more than 5 minutes exposure time using a Pentax K-70 camera. Diffenantly worth the money! Kim Kenny - Crewe Observatory

Great filter for light polluted skies. I love this filter. I live in a Bortle 6 zone and it has helped me bring out nebulocity where I didn't think I would be able to overcome the light pollution. The 2" size fit perfectly in my tray. It seems to be excellently made and I have made it a permanent part of my astrophotography imaging train for nebula and probably for galaxies, too. Is that time of year so I will see how it goes. Maybe even tonight.

Great Broadband filter for galaxy season!Great Broadband filter for galaxy season! I used the SV260 on my SkyWatcher Quattro 200P with ZWO 585 MCPro Camera for several hours of M82 (picture attached), and added a few more hours of HA using the SVBony SV220 3nm filter. SV260 and SV220 are a great combination for shooting spiral galaxies with nebulae. M82 was captured in bortle 7 skies near full moon, so SV260 works well against light pollution.

Even better than a duo-band filter! Duo-band filters are great BUT they tend to produce what I would call "unnatural" colors, by that I mean that if a nebula is photographed without any filters the result would be it's "natural" colors. This multi-band filter produces, in my opinion, better colors overall than just a duo-band filter. It blocks out unwanted colors (city light pollution, for example). It is my go-to filter now!

Good Color-Excellent Balance of Price vs Performance I have an NBZ dual narrow band filter that is my reference standard. I use it in a RASA 8 and a 120mm refractor. The SVBONY SV260 compares very well to the NBZ. It has better color but in a fast scope you will see halos around bright stars. In the 120 I actually prefer the SV260. Five stars on the basis of color balance and the price vs performance ratio. Four stars when used in the RASA because of the halos, but the halos are far from the worst you can get with some other brands. In fact I use it more often than the NBZ.

A little pricey but cheaper than the competitors and it does work quite nicely. If your shooting from light polluted skies, this filter is worth you time and money. No said astrophotography is cheap or easy, but this helps save a few dollars and makes capturing those velvet black skies a little easier. It works well for passing the light we want and blocking the rest. At some point I'll probably buy another for my second rig.

Astro Power Controller SV241 Pro | Svbony

SV241 Pro
