Good to start with, but has problems The SVBONY SV705C is a decent camera for the price, but it has its quirks. While the image quality is acceptable for planetary imaging, the software can be a bit finicky to set up. Additionally, the camera can be sensitive to heat, which can impact performance during long exposures. For casual astrophotographers, it's a good starting point, but more experienced users may find limitations.

Off-Axis Guider OAG SV238 | Svbony

The assembly of the OAG and Filter Drawer is not intuitive and the instructions are of no help.  The "official" SVBony video is of even less herp.  I did find a 3rd party video that was of some help but they fast forwarded through the part I had questions about.  Both the OAG and filter drawer seem to be both sturdy and strong, I don't see a way it can flex.  This is a good idea to have them mounted like this, I just with the instructions were more clear.  In the video I watched, it mentioned the filter drawers from the SV226 are not compatible with the SV226P.   That kind of ticked me off.  I have both models and what I'm finding out is the newer SV226P drawer will fit both filter holders.  But the newer SV226P will not fit into the older model (SV226).  They look identical so they're no way to know what you have until it doesn't fit.  It doesn't make sense, but it's what I'm seeing. Overall, I'm optimistic.  I'm just building out my optical train now, but I have not used it yet.  The biggest negative so far is the instructions.

Hi, this is my review of your UV/IR Cut filter. I have to say, there were some shipping complications and the package was lost, so you sent me another one. Anyways, the filter itself does a great job at cutting the invisible wavelengths, and i would say it is so worth its money. I use it all the time and the difference is noticeable compared to a no-filter setup and it preserves natural colors perfectly. That is my Messier 57-Ring Nebula image using it.

SVBONY SV220 1.25" Dual Narrowband 3nm H-Alpha OIII Filter for CCD

First of all, I understand this is the 1.25 inch filter so it is much cheaper compared to the 2 inch which most people will require, however, as a small camera sensor user ( imx585 ), I am confident to say that the value for such a filter of this quality is excellent. The 3nm is much worth it over 7nm. I hope this will last me a very long time with my one shot colour camera allowing me to obtain great OIII and Ha data. Just a shame that it is not like Amazon with next day delivery perk. However the wait is surely worth it, packaged greatly too.

SVBONY SV188P 99% Reflectivity 90-Degree Dielectric Mirror Diagonal

Ordered this Diagonal a while ago. Took long to arrive, but it has been great to use. The mirror in the diagonal feels a touch light, especially compared to my previous prism diagonal. But it has been great in terms of clarity of sky and ease of use. And the brass compression ring is great. Would happily recommend this product.

Svbony SV121 Laser Collimator

Ordered this a little while ago. Worked great although it does seem to be a bit loose in the eye-piece, so need to check that it is pointed in the right direction and perfectly centered when using. But works great and the Laser is nice and bright. One thing to note, there is a small plastic isolator in the battery compartment, which doesn't have a tag, so easily missed. The unit didn't switch on when I received it, so I replaced the battery and it still didn't work - Only when I took the new battery out again did I notice the small plastic isolator, and once removed it worked perfectly.

Just received the sc002 and it's easy to use, acceptable quality for its price point and by far the easiest way to get a pic on your phone or tablet. Let's do a firmware update with motion capture! For photo or video. Imagine a spot you know an animal, bird etc visits. You could stare at it endlessly or just point, focus, wait. It could capture to card, device or both.

SV401 20-60x80 Spotting Scope Army Green For Birdwatching observation wildlife

Great quality, very clear scope

I purchased the SV401 scope as my first spotting scope, for viewing the scenery in the valley where we live and watching birds. First thing I noticed was the excellent build quality then after a few minutes getting familiar with the controls how extremely clear the vision was at long distances, eg 1000+ metres. Totally happy with the product and a bargain at its price !!

SV165 30mm F4 Mini Guide Scope for Astrophotography

Impressive performance

Put it on my TS60/360 to use it primarily as electronic finder scope and for plate solving. Lightweighted but solid and compact with sharp picture. Have to substract one star for the fact, that it cannot be fine aligned. One millimeter more space in the rings and a cross screw connection would improve it significantly and it could then also be used as finder scope in combination with an illuminated eyepiece and diagonal prism.

this camera is excellent value for money ideal for planetary photography with sharpcap and autoguiding with PHD2, you can also do some nebulae provided you respect the back-focus of the camera which I measured at 11 mm +/- 15% from the edge of the camera but it is 6 mm if you put the camera in abutment on the shoulder + of course you have to add the back-focus of your focal reducer if you have an SCT etc for example a 6.3 focal reducer its back-focus is 105 mm +/- 15% so you need the length of your 50 mm photo adapter + several rings to reach 100 mm plus the 6 mm or 106 mm of back focus is good. Be careful to check the back-focus of your focal reducer with your dealer!! It can vary from 55 mm to 85 mm to 105 mm depending on the model.

The collimator doeas a good job on both my 6" f/5 and 10" f/5 newtonian reflector. Out of the box it was not perfectly adjusted, but with some help of onile-tutorials, the adjusting of the collimator is easily done within a few minutes. Honestly the 2 inch adapter is not perfect, because if you tighten the clamping screw, it causes the collimater slightly to tilt inside the adapter. The eyepiece adapter W2811C does a better job here. Anyhow, the collimator is perfect for quick and easy adjustment of our newtonian reflector. I personally prefer the "barlowed-laser-method" to get more precise adjustment. A simple 2x barlow lens, such as SV137 doeas a great job here.

SV106 60mm f/4 Guide Scope Multi-Use Finder Scope with Helical Focuser

Does the job very well

I've been using the SV106 for about 6 months now. Couldn't be happier. The scope is mounted on a Meade LX200 ACF SCT 10" aperture scope. An ASI120mm mini guide camera is coupled to the SV106. My guiding is typically 0.5" to 1.0" with a 35lb package on a SkyWatcher EQ6-Ri Pro. Cant ask for better than that.

68 Degree Wide Angle Eyepieces | Svbony

Great quality/price but

Got the 6mm. Great quality/price, great FoV but has the "kidney bean" effect that such eyepiece type produces. Also not very suitable in a small F4 newton scope, since it seems showing more coma than others EP like the plossl or super plossl from SvBony. Maybe better with other telescopes.

Good for the price

Got the 4mm and 23mm. both EP offers great TFoV in small F4 newton. The 23mm is really sharp, less the 4mm. Contrast is not at the level of the plossl, SP as both are very brights, may be too much on fast scopes. Not suitable for short Focal ratio. But for cheap, one can have a wide TFoV eyepiece (23mm). So good enough for the price paid.

SVBONY SV215 1.25" 3-8mm Clickstop Zoom Eyepiece for Planet View

Great quality, but difficult insight at highest ma

I had the chance to test the zoom eyepiece yesterday evening on my 10" dobsonian. Generally, the manufacture quality is excellent. The rubber grip has a nice, soft touch, but also enough grip to safely rotate the zoom-ring. The rotation needs quite a lot of force, but it's still okay to handle. You only have to make sure, the eyepiece is clamped stron enough in the focuser. The view through the eyepiece is crystal clear with almost no fringing or abberation towards the edge of the field of view. Only critical point is, that the insight at 4mm and 3mm is quite difficult. No chance to get an insight when you wear glasses. The eyeball is almost touching the lens of the eyepiece. But in genearal, the eyepiece is excellent for it's price!
