SVBONY SV241 Astronomy DC+USB HUB Box for Astrophotography

Solved my power problems! Great!

I wanted to update my review for this item. Noticed a few nice features. 1) this box is solid and made from metal not plastic. 2) just noticed the little 5v and 12v LEDs to validate you are getting the correct voltage which is nice. Very handy little power box with usb and plenty of power connectors. My only complaint (and this is a small Complaint) is it did not come with mount or Velcro wrap to attach to one of the legs of the tripod. I would give this five stars if it did. I ended up using Velcro and sticking it to the mount but time will tell how long it holds. Other than that highly recommend for anyone needing extra power plugs and a nice usb hub. Please note the usb connection is usb 3.1 but does have usb 2 onboard as well as USB3 and USB-C.

Svbony SV202 10x50ED Binoculars Extra-Low Dispersion Bak4

Almost Perfect For Astronomy

I am disabled and am restricted to observing the stars from my balcony under Bortle 6 skies so I never expected to be blown away by these binos, but I WAS! I use them mounted on a tripod for stability and occasionally take photos using my smartphone. There is very little degradation of images and all objects are clear, bright and sharp. Obviously, the contrast isn't quite as defined as with a pair of porros and the view is slightly flatter. They are extremely comfortable to use, being both lightweight and ergonomic. Twist eyecups mean that eye relief can be accurately set and focussing is precise and smooth. The ED coatings are very effective and I've only had positive experiences viewing, clusters, planets, nebulae and the moon. In short, I find these binos absolutely perfect for astronomy with only one drawback: It's rather tricky to attach a tripod mount as the 50mm lenses are extremely close together, meaning that you must use a screwdriver or pliers to affix them securely. I use mine every day (and night) for sweeping the sky before using my telescope but have had so much fun with them that I find myself using the scope less and less!

ED Spotting Scope SV406P 20-60x80 | Svbony

Very good scope - needs a few Must Have improvemen

I bought this scope as a present to my daughter so we can quickly check things on the night sky. The scope has very good optics, which is very sharp and clean. Images of the Moon and planets are nice with good resolution to the eye. Phases of Venus are also quite pleasant to be seen through. The optics is not a real APO, it has slight chromatic aberration that is not very strong - on the Moon for example it is slightly visible. The double focuser is a really nice feature that we both appreciate a lot! The scope has and excellent finish, that I hope it will be withstanding the time. The 20x-60x ocular is sharp enough for the views. 1. The precise focuser movement should be a little bit tighter, I have the feeling that the wind can rotate it. 2. The ocular has very narrow field of view if you switch it to 40x+ magnification. PROBLEM fix it!!! 1. The scope is advised that you can change the oculars. Unfortunately the barrel that holds the oculars is not a precise 1.25". It is slightly narrower, but narrow enough so my premium Baader Morpheus oculars can not fit. Also the Baader classic Ortho can not fit inside! TeleVue Radian ocular fits, but the image was quite dark and unimpressive at all. SvBony must fix this issue!!! 2. If I add a filter to the bottom of the ocular (I bought a circ. polarizing one from SvBony) then the ocular hits the prism and you can never reach focus!!! - Full Moon is a torture!!!

Zoom Eyepiece SV245 | Svbony

I bought this while on introductory offer. I wanted a do it all lower power eyepiece, and one with fixed field of view at all focal lengths. Not the usual zoom eyepiece that is like looking through a straw at the low power end. This zoom eyepiece ticked the boxes. A constant 63deg field, really nice click stop for each focal length and good eye relief. Worth pointing out straight off the bat that this a large and heavy eyepiece. If you already own the superb SV215 3-8mm zoom, then you will be shocked by the size and weight disparity between the two. You will need a much larger space in your eyepiece case for the SV245. Onto how it performs. Mixed bag really. In the slower scopes (F10 SCT and F8.3 refractor) it performs really well. Sharp across the field. Comfortable view. Does what I hoped. In the faster scopes (F5 refractor and F4.5 newtonian) things are much less positive. Now the eyepiece is unable to cope with the steep cone these scopes produce, this results in only part of the field being sharp. In the f4.5 the outer 50% of the field is not sharp and the eyepiece is struggling. I just except its not for my faster scopes but great in the slower ones. Its great to just twist the eyepiece and work through the powers.

New Band Astrograph Lens APO Petzval for Deep-Sky Photography SV555 | Svbony

It’s a good lens. You won’t be disappointed with the optical quality. But my lens was shipped with an allegedly Vixen style mounting rail 41 mm wide. This rail can’t be gripped by my Ioptron mount so, as is, the lens can’t be used on that mount. Actual Vixen style rails are 44 mm wide and work with my mount. SVBony suggested that I buy another rail from them that is 43.5 mm wide to replace the undersized rails. Not a satisfactory solution when the rail supplied with the SV555 is supposed to be Vixen compatible. Watch out for this problem.

A nice set, but I don’t really need the whole thing. The 15mm and 20mm pieces are excellent, the 9mm is decent too, but the 6 mm clearly falls behind the rest. I should’ve just bought the 9 and 20, getting the full set was unnecessary. As for the support team, it’s terrible — they only respond to part of the questions and ignore the rest.

WiFi Astronomy Camera | SVBONY SC311 Pro

The SC311 PRO is a revised more powerful version of the original SC311 wireless Camera released over a year ago. There some new very powerful features added to the new wireless camera that appear to work well. I have briefly tested this new wireless camera outside in some really bad cold cloudy weather here in Western Canada where I live. The new wireless camera is very well built, very solid and the antenna is now built into the device itself. The new wireless wifi EAA camera now allows to you capture RAW 12 but FITs photos for processing later on with more power Astro software, there is a new live capture stretching feature while viewing on your device and the stretched image is also saved as a JPG to the device for later downloading. The original SC311 camera stored highly compressed JPG images this is a very welcome improvement for sure and was pretty well useless for postprocessing. Most importantly, exposure captures can now be done up to 30 seconds up from the original 5 seconds limit of the original SC311 camera. This allows you to now capture many many more dim deep sky objects and the sky and with more detail. There are still a few limitiations in the new SC311 Pro wireless camera as it still only records MP4 compressed videos and it would be great if Svbony would enhance the app and camera to allow a uncompressed format like avi video recording instead. There is also no Live stacking feature yet either how however the auto stetching feature is pretty nice. Overall this is a impressive new wireless camera from Svbony and hopefully Svbony will continue to actively improve it as it evolves in 2026 and on for users who purchase it. Here are some recent captures in really bad cloud weather captured with the new SV311 PRO wireless camera! Looks pretty good to me!

Update - I have now used the camera and it is pretty good for a camera it's price range. But WARNING - unlike most other cameras (including for example SV205) this is NOT plug-and-play with Windows 11 (although it seems to be with Windows 10). You MUST download and install the SVBONY device driver. This should be made very clear in the Amazon listing to avoid customer aggravation.

SV165 30mm F4 Mini Guide Scope for Astrophotography

This guide scope works with my Zwo Asi120 mini camera, small main telescope and Zwo ASIAir. The autoguiding has accuracy between 0.5 to 2 arcseconds. This is mostly good enough for my main scope and camera that cover about 2.5 arcseconds per pixel. The main difficulty with this product is the initial setup of finding infinity focus. It took a very frustratingly long time to figure out how far to insert the camera into the tube, or how much to turn the focusing ring, to get any image. I had to search various websites to find pictures of other users' setups in order to estimate where the focus ring and camera should be. Once I got in range to see an object, it was easy to fine tune the focus for autoguiding.

Works well for spotting bullet holes at 100 yards. I love the camera feature I don’t even have to look through the scope i just look at my phone. It’s a bit blurry for 100 yards with 22lr but you can still make it out. 4 stars because I wish it was a bit sharper but for the price I say it’s very acceptable

This is a wonderful, portable, and easy to use telescope. Very well made and easy to mount on a vixen style mount or photo tripod. The scope weighs under 5 pounds and requires an appropriately stable situation. The image quality is excellent. Packaging is very good. Remember that this is an optical tube only..no eyepieces, finder, 45°adapter, or mount.

Gute VerarbeitungGute Verarbeitung Positiv ist die variable Anpassungsmöglichkeit durch die verschiedenen Baulängen der Segmente. Nachteilig wirkt sich die glänzende Oberfläche der Lackierung bei Langzeitbelichtung aus. Ein matter Lack würde unerwünschte Reflexionen vermindern.

passt Alles soweit ok. Die Innenseite reflektiert sehr stark, da muss etwas nachgearbeitet werden. Außerdem sind die Gewinde innen NICHT durchgängig, das soll heißen man kann keine Filterhalter o.ä. einschrauben oder die Ringe zur Anpassung kürzen. Die T2-Gewinde sind innen wie außen 4mm lang.

Very bright and clear — but svbony has the specs wrong This review is for the SVBONY Upgraded SV202 8×32 ED. I’m not a bird watcher or a stargazer — I’m just a guy who likes looking out from cruise‑ship balconies. I’m comparing these to my Celestron Outland X 8×25, which I’ve always considered a solid compact set. The SVBONYs absolutely blow them away. The clarity and brightness are on a different level. One important note: the svbony listing incorrectly shows the field of view as 8.12°. The correct FOV is 7.8° (confirmed in the included spec sheet — I posted a photo). Still a good number, but accuracy in listings matters. Optically, these are easily 5‑star binoculars for the price — other reviewers aren’t exaggerating when they compare them to $300+ pairs. I’m only knocking off one star because the listing specs are wrong.

SVBONY SV224 Universal Dovetail Base for Finder Scope Telescope Mount

Like all adapters, needs to be tweaked to fit properly I measured the distance between the mounting screws on my RASA 8, and found them to be 33 mm apart, so I thought this would fit. However, what I didn't account for (and apparently what no bracket manufacturer accounts for, unless you have a square telescope) is that the spacing of the screws increases as you move away from the threaded holes (as the optical tube is round). To address this issue, I shaved about 1.5 to 2 mm of material from the top sides of each mounting hole. The mounting screws were then able to thread into their holes freely, with no binding. I want to screws to thread cleanly. I don't want to force them, and run the risk of damaging the threads on my expensive optical tube!
