Svbony SV905C 1.23MP Type-C 1.25" Guide Camera for Astronomy Guiding

SV905C

Outstanding camera, lacking Linux support The camera itself is excellent. I took a star off because this does not have a linux driver that can be used directly. I only use Linux so this was a problem for me. As of April 2026 the only Linux app that supports this camera is AstroDMx Capture. That's fine if all your going to do with it is take/watch imagry. If you want to use it as a guide camera with KStars/Ekos/INDI (probably most users) you must build you own driver. The driver must be compiled by the user from the SDK provided by Svbony. That process is rather gruesome and outside the perview of anyone who hasn't some experience developing C/C++ applications. But like I said, the camera itself is excellent and much better deal than equivalent cameras from other manufacturers.

Color Planetary Camera SV705C | Svbony

SV705C

Good to start with, but has problems The SVBONY SV705C is a decent camera for the price, but it has its quirks. While the image quality is acceptable for planetary imaging, the software can be a bit finicky to set up. Additionally, the camera can be sensitive to heat, which can impact performance during long exposures. For casual astrophotographers, it's a good starting point, but more experienced users may find limitations.

SV605CC

Good value, nothing spectacular. I've been using this for a while now. The camera it's very easy to set up and use. Quality of pictures is OK. There are quite a few hot pixels, so be aware to do some dithering to remove them with stacking. The camera has a good value for money. Considering the price, it's OK.

New Band Astrograph Lens APO Petzval for Deep-Sky Photography SV555 | Svbony

Great Value TelescopeGreat Value Telescope This is my first telescope, so I don't have much to compare it to. That being said, I'm very impressed with it thus far. The stars are sharp, and I haven't noticed any strange chromatic aberration issues that so many of the YouTube reviewers warned of. My only complaint was that I cannot seem to get perfect focus unless I am using a 2 inch filter. I think the backfocus must be a little longer than 55mm. I am using the SVBony filter drawer, which gives me perfect focus when a filter is installed, but it's worth mentioning for those who don't plan to use a filter. I love how you can lock the focus ring and aperture ring. Makes setup very quick and easy once you find your target. I'm very happy with the telescope.

SVBONY SV550 80mm f/6 APO Triplet Refractor Telescope for Astrophoto

Excellent Astrophotography Refractor This triplet APO refractor gives me crisp stars. Good DSO images. The only complaint is that the dovetail plate needs to be longer to achieve balance with a DSLR.

SVBONY SV550 80mm f/6 APO Triplet Refractor Telescope for Astrophoto

Great scope for value! Caution: Issues with EAF if paired w/ SV210,SV209Great scope for value! Caution: Issues with EAF if paired w/ SV210,SV209 The scope itself definitely feels like good quality, it brings a nice bright image, a great value for the price truly, My only issue with the scope is its focuser tube. When paired with its partner accessories sv210 and sv209 it causes your focus point to become roughly only 3-5mm from fully racked IN. This makes using an Electronic Auto focuser impossible... SVBONY Please shorten the focuser tube to allow more inward travel! Or at least lessen the width of your sv210 and or sv209! My auto focusers only job is to collect dust at the moment!

Astronomy Telescope Kit for Planetary Observing | SVBONY SV520

SV520
