SVBONY SV224 Universal Dovetail Base for Finder Scope Telescope Mount

not made for a small diameter telescope tube I think this is a very good dovetail mount but is not made to fit a small diameter telescope tube. I have a small diameter telescope with a 60mm objective. When I tried to mount this dovetail base on the tube the middle of the dovetail base touched the telescope tube and only let one side or the other touch the tube but not both. To get a stable mount I had to put rubber strips under each side so the middle of the base would not touch the telescope tube. The existing screw holes in the telescope tube were for slightly larger screws than this dovetail base was made for so I had to file out the screw slots in the base to accommodate the larger screws.

SVBONY SV224 Universal Dovetail Base for Finder Scope Telescope Mount

Universal fit but sacrifice strength. Saddle made to mount in many configurations but weakens it for mounting on flat surfaces or some curved surface. Be careful not to over tighten or over load or bending can occur at the bottom of the saddle.

Svbony SV220 1.25" H-Alpha OIII 7nm Dual-Band Nebula Filter Deep Sky

Svbony SV220 1.25" H-Alpha OIII 7nm Dual-Band Nebula Filter Deep Sky

SVBONY Full Metal Finder Scope Dovetail Mounting Set for Telescopes

SVBONY SV149 Canon DSLR Lens to 1.25" Eyepiece/Astro Camera Adapter

SVBONY SV183 685nm IR Pass Filter 1.25" for Planetary Astrophotography

Budget friendly alternative Let face it we are not NASA. Don’t need to spend every dime on the top of the line things unless u want to for a status symbol . This will serve you well under moderate light pollution I live in a bottle 6 skies and it gets rid of almost all of it. If you haven’t tried svbony before give them a chance. For being a “budget” brand they are really cranking out some high quality things over there. Keep it up

SV155 1.25 inch 7-Piece Filters Set for Moon Viewing Telescope Filter

The filters are fixed in their frames. No rotation allowed. Most Svbony parts and equipment are a good value and decently made; this filter included. However, I purchased two of these filters for an unintended use... as a variable ND filter. Unfortunately, the filters cannot rotate relative to each other, because both filters are fixed in their frames (no rotation). Do not buy this filter if you were thinking the same.

SVBONY 1.25" 66° Ultra Wide Eyepiece 6/9/15/20mm Fully Multi-Coated

Works well with my Celestron 200p Dobsonian. Affordable option. I read the reviews and the videos and this is a case of "you get what you pay for". Experienced observers with unlimited cash will not be impressed with the views from this eyepiece , they dont hold a candle(standard candle joke goes here) to a Tele Vue eyepiece or other revered high end eyepieces. That being said, for the newbies and for the many many people that are buying mid sized dobsonians, this is a great deal that wont break the bank. On clear nights you will get some nice views through this budget eyepiece. If you decide night sky observing isnt your thing , then you havent blown 100's of dollars on an eyepiece that you now have to try and sell second hand.
