SV550 122 Triplet APO Telescope Set For Astronomical Visual Observation

SV 550 122mm Visual set

Having always been interested in astronomy I have owned a couple of low budget telescopes over the years but was unable to see what I wanted with these. I started looking at reviews on the internet, on forums and YouTube and SVBony were looking very good. It was a spur of the moment decision to order the SV 550 122mm visual set and I wondered if i had done the right thing, but I have to say that SVBony are a real pleasure to deal with, they have excellent communication right throughout the ordering process and answered my queries promptly and politely. I used the telescope for the first time last night and it was amazing! This is a really well made instrument and optically superb. I am looking forward to dealing with SVBony again and will order an SV230 eyepiece next. My goal is to venture into astro-photography. Thank you SVBony.

Svbony SV230 Zoom Eyepiece Clickstop Parfocal 8-20mm 1.25" 2" Adapter

8-20mm zoom

My eyepiece collection, which I primarily use for my dobsonian, mostly consists of APM XWA. I also have a Pentax XW 40-R and a Baader Morpheus 4.5mm. This zoom eyepiece doesn't let me down optically. I enjoy it a lot. Is it as good as the Pentax? I'm my opinion, no, but the Pentax is extraordinary, and this can vary focal length. The difference in the AFOV from 20mm to 8mm feels quite big to me, but at 20mm it feels a lot less cramped than a Plössl. Trying it on M104 recently, I zoomed in slowly across the whole range of focal length and found a sweet spot of contrast where the galaxy wasn't losing too much brightness but the background sky had darkened nicely. I can work out what focal length I'm at by counting the audible ticks every 2mm. I definitely have to adjust the focus when changing focal length but not drastically. I'm getting more muscle memory for that as I use it more. I haven't tried any other zoom eyepieces, but I'm not very interested in doing so now I have this.

Svbony SV240 2" NIR Multi Narrowband Filter Light Pollution Nebula Kit

Great Companion for OSC Camera

I live in Bortle 8 zone - Toronto-Canada. I already have ASI533 Mono and ToupTek ATR2600 Mono with their own filter wheels and LRGBSHO filters, and am enjoying them fully. I also have ASI224MC and ASI120MM, but I recently purchased ASI676MC for my third AP rig. This is the first time I am using OSC for AP. I was browsing through the options available, and decided to go with SV240 due to its claimed ability to produce images in tri-narrowband with wider FWHM making it usable for all kind of nebulas and galaxies in Bortle 8 zone. To test this filter, I photographed M42-Orion Nebula and IC434-Horsehead Nebula from my urban sky with and without using SV240 (M42 - 30 seconds exposure for both - on same night). There was a very clear difference between not using and using SV240. SV240 filter produced a very distinct and clear details (dust clouds) that were absent or very faint in the M42 image produced without the filter. The head of IC434 (60 seconds exposure) that was barely visible in image without the filter was now clearly distinguishable in the image with the filter. SV240 was able to produce nice contrast and richer colors in the images. So far, I am highly impressed with this filter in removing the effects of light pollution, and producing rich colors.

Svbony SV220 2" H-Alpha OIII 7nm Telescope Filter for Nebula Photo

I bought this dual narrow band filter when using this with my SV405CC, I have achieved wonderful results with this filter, especially when used with Sky-Watcher Quattro 150P @f3.45. Even though the website states it is not recommended for system below f5. My images can be found on the Sky-Watcher Gallery website.

Great value

Bought this camera with filter drawer and dual band filter. My first experience with a dedicated camera and it's brilliant, shot the rosette nebula with the dual band using N.I.N.A. at very steady minus 5 very pleasing. Absolutely no regrets as I initially hesitated upgrading from dslr, just the ease of doing flats the next day and the quality of shorter exposures making the hobby so much more enjoyable.

Great Telescope!

I would say it was an excellent purchase, the optics arrived in perfect condition, the Star test was OK, and the images of the planet, Moon and deep sky were beautiful. The telescope was purchased for visual purposes and not astrophotography, but from what I've read it also does well in that area. The weight and price are lower than the competition. I'm very happy with this telescope. The only downside is the delivery time to Portugal, 16 business days. This could be improved.

I haven't experienced any disconnections; I've tested it with my laptop and tablet. I'm considering using it to project images using a deep-sky photography setup through the ASIAIR. Possédant déjà le ST1 qui fonctionne à merveille j'ai complété mon équipement avec cette version compacte je suis très satisfait du produit tant en qualité que fabrication. Although not really designed for astro work, I really enjoy working with smaller optical aids and pushing the limits to really "see" what is achievable with a modest sized devices. The SV406P ED, although not an APO, is just a really nice spotting scope and does a great job of wider field star shots.
