Flat Field ED Binoculars SA205 8x42 | Svbony

Fantastic

The days of paying a premium for high quality optics are over. These sa205 8x42 check all the boxes and rate up there with instruments 3 x as expensive. A super product, the only all-rounder you will ever need. The view is of excellent resolution, very clear and with ease of use . Highly recommended.

SVBONY SV227 OIII 5nm 2-inch Telescope Filter for Nebula Imaging

5nm filters at a great value!

I switched to true mono imaging this summer, been using these filters for a few months now. Both myself and the members of my local astronomy club have been very impressed with what results these filters were able to produce. Way better value than other name brand and SVBONY spec their 5nm as a true FWHM measurement Compared to some amazon brand that's cheaper but look closely! the other amazon brand try to say 495-501 on their chart but if you look closely the FWHM on those chart seem closer to 10-15nm, those may work for visual, but not astrophotography.

Looks good

What a great little telescope this is. Nice solid build and looks really great on my ZWO AM5 mount because of the same colour scheme. Ive put on the auto focuser and its working great. Ive not taken any pictures of the stars yet because it has been cloudy here (UK), however i have taken some images of distant trees and they all look nice and sharp. Im looking forward to some clear nights with this thing. Also it was great service from SVBONY and fast delivery. Will definitely be using again. Thank you so much.

APO Refractor Telescope for Deep-Sky Photography SV550 122 | Svbony

Outstanding Telescope

Upgraded from a 72mm Astro-Tech doublet to the 122mm Sv550.. Although a much bigger, heavier telescope I’d still class it as a portable travel scope -just took a few sessions to get used to the extra weight. The quality of the images is outstanding - the step up from doublet to triplet makes a real difference in image quality and detail. The telescope is solid and classy - pinpoint stars with no noticeable chromatic abberation .

Update now I've captured the stars

This is an update from my earlier review. This telescope/lens is fantastic. It is so sharp right to the edges of the image. I'm using a zwo 2600mc duo and I was really impressed with what I was seeing. I took images of the Andromeda galaxy and a short time on the horse head nebula (trying the svbony 220 dual narrowband filter)This is now my favorite little scope and trust me I've had a fair few. This things a keeper. Excellent stuff svbony.

Svbony SV220 2" H-Alpha OIII 7nm Telescope Filter for Nebula Photo

the only dual narrow band filter you need

i used a few dual narrow band filters on the market for quite some time and i came across this filter 3 months ago... here is my experience so far in bortle 9 skies : - the filter collect nebula light so fast and quite good - stars are perfectly sized , small and sharp with 300s exposure which is really impressive considering i got bigger stars with other more expensive filters. - i saw one halo on the biggest star on the image but it is very acceptable and does not look unnatural so i didnt pother to remove it . that happened when i placed the filter next to the camera. again other filters are NOT halo free and the sv220 is more cheaper so it wins for me... in conclusion, if you are looking for the best dual narrow band filter on the market , then i have no other filter to recommend rather then the sv220 hands down...

I didn’t think much about using binoculars at first, but after receiving the SV202 as a gift when purchasing the SV405CC, I’m convinced this is something everyone interested in astronomy should have. As a Star Adventurer 2i user, I’ve found the SV202 to be an invaluable tool for locating star clusters. Instead of relying on my camera’s live view and guessing their positions, the binoculars offer a clear and direct way to pinpoint my targets. Once my setup is aligned and tracking, I typically have an hour or so to wait, and during this downtime, the SV202 provides an enjoyable and productive way to explore the night sky. I’ve been particularly impressed by its performance. The Pleiades, while lacking the detail of its dust cloud, appears sharp and well-defined. Jupiter and its moons are clearly visible, and even the Large Magellanic Cloud, though just a smudge to the naked eye, reveals more structure and detail through these binoculars. The SV202 binoculars are lightweight, easy to use, and provide surprisingly good clarity for their size and price range. For anyone passionate about stargazing or astrophotography, they make an excellent companion, whether you’re setting up your equipment or simply enjoying the view.

Cooled Color Astronomical Camera SV605CC | Svbony

Great first camera to switch from DLSRs

I've finally got some time to gather light under the winter night skies after receiving this camera as my first cooled astrocamera. It is a change after Canon EOS 600D! I expected better results for near-IR part of the spectrum, but, oh boy, I really saw the difference when I took pictures of the broad-band objects (M45 and M33). It is fantastic how much of a difference cooling can make to the noise when shooting from the city center of Brno (Bortle 7-8). I definitely recommend you to try this camera if you are planning to switch from DSLRs. It is affordable and has a lot of positives: low noise, almost no apm-glow (I see some in the corner, but it is cropped out with dithering margins anyway). I use it with a Sky-Watcher 72ED, so the resolution is about 2.7" per pixel, so I cannot see whether the cooling fan adds some vibration to the picture or not, it should be fine with smaller focal lengths. As a drawback, I can only see the cooling not being powerful enough for the warmer countries, but in Europe it is enough to cool the camera to -5 degrees during autumn/spring and -15 during winter.

I ordered this eyepiece recently from SV Bony. Their customer care had been excellent. Initially I complained because the illuminator did not work but surprise surprise they sent me within a few days a brand new eyepiece with a working illuminator without asking me to send back the old one. I tested everything and was impressed with the wide field of view of the eyepiece and the illuminator itself makes centering on the cross hairs really easy. It has a potentiometer to regulate the illumination so it can be adjusted depending on conditions. Other products as I have read only have on-off illumination and cannot be adjusted. Thank you SV Bony for making good quality cost effective products and for providing such a great customers service.

A great eyepiece for star alignment and not only

A great eyepiece not only for star aligning or tracking but also for observing. Good quality optics and an immense field of view. Makes observing a real fun. I was also surprised with the quality of Service from the svbony customer service team. Initially I received a product that did not work - illuminator was not coming on. I asked for a replacement illuminator and I was surprised to receive one week later a brand new eyepiece plus the illuminator. This company really knows something about impressing on their customers.

Svbony SV48P 102mm F6.5 Achromatic Refractor Telescope with 2.5" RAP

Full disclosure, I am an absolute beginner in terms of Astronomy and Telescopes and this review is on my first ever OTA purchase so take from this what you will! Overall I am extremely happy with my purchase, the telescope is really well built and the perfect price for what i was wanting to spend. My journey started with a $10 thrift store 70mm telescope, then I was lent a 114mm Bird-Jones reflector, but i was never happy with the planetary views. I purchased the sv48p because it has some features like dual speed focuser, that i was really wanting after struggling with my first scopes, plus i have a smart telescope for astrophotography so i wanted a nice multipurpose visual scope. I'd read that this scope wasn't a great option for planetary, but i was really impressed with the view it gave me over the other scopes i had used. I was able to see the bands of jupiter and rings of saturn clearly for the first time, even in not that great seeing conditions. I'm really looking forward to warmer weather to spend some quality time with my new toy. For me this is was great purchase, and the perfect introduction to the big boy world of OTA's, I find the build quality to be outstanding, for me the optics are a godsend. SvBony provides outstanding service and a hassle free buying experience that i look forward to using when i buy some future upgrades.

Svbony SV240 2" NIR Multi Narrowband Filter Light Pollution Nebula Kit

I haven't even gotten into astrophotography yet. I got this filter because I saw that some Polish observers rated this very highly as a visual nebula filter, and the bandpass is very similar to the discontinued Orion UltraBlock (but includes red and IR). I took it out to a city center for public outreach with my 8" RC and 42 mm GSO Superview (40x magnification, 5.25 mm exit pupil) and had a look at the Orion Nebula. Compared to my other UHC filters, it revealed the most detail by far: the outer wisps, dark dust, and even M43 was clearly visible against the background glare. The red bandpass isn't apparent on most stars (such as the Trapezium) but it is on Hatysa (Iota Orionis). If you want an aggressive 2" nebula filter for visual observing, especially in city skies, I'd pick this. I can't say anything about its photographic utility yet, but it's definitely a keeper, and I am very surprised to see that it isn't marketed as a visual filter. I hope to see a 1.25" version in the future for my small telescopes!
