SVBONY SV407 2.1x42mm Super Wide Angle Binoculars for Stargazing

Well made and do the intended job I bought these binoculars to help with setting up a smart scope in a back yard without a dark sky. When looking through the binoculars I can see major stars that are too faint for the naked eye in a light polluted sky. A standard binocular would do a better job but would have a narrower field of view. And these binoculars are about half the size of a 8x42 binocular. The binoculars are heavier than I expected because they are not made out of cheap plastic. Focusing is via individual eyepieces. I focused them on stars and leave the focus alone. They have a thin storage bag, but fit nicely into a zippered case that I bought for gun range goggles. I consider them to be a specialty item, and they are useful in conjunction with my smart astronomy telescope.

SVBONY SV407 2.1x42mm Super Wide Angle Binoculars for Stargazing

Solid construction, well made product When I had seen these binoculars and after reading reviews I decided to purchase. Not for star gazing. I have tunnel vision and night blind. Hence, I haven't been to the cinema in years. I took these to the movies and was able to enjoy the cinema with family again. The wide angle binocular reduced the size of the movie screen to a comfortable size where I could see about half the screen which is enough for me to enjoy the movies again. The bonus being, increased contrast and illumination. Recommend these to people with Retinitis Pigmentosa, Glaucoma or any eye condition that results in narrowing of visual field (tunnel vision)

Wonderfully compact gateway to view the endless jewels above us Simply wonderful, compact, highly portable but with a heaviness of quality. Mindful of the seemingly low 2x magnification they do allow more light points/stars! to appear even in the bortle/red zone 6 heavens above me. Can't wait to try them in darker skies. The amount of sky you can see is good, though be mindful that the central point is where the stars etc view at their best. Helpful for seeing whole constellations and navigating the sky. A shame they don't have a hard case but a specsaver large hard/glasses zip case does the trick. Other opticians may have something similar. They are threaded so you can attach 2" filters although they are great as they are.

SVBONY SV407 2.1x42mm Super Wide Angle Binoculars for Stargazing

Great product, great price. Received these awesome little binos today. Prompt delivery and very well packaged. As soon as I took them out of the box I could feel the quality. Quite heavy for the size but that is what to expect from the Galilean lenses (which, by the way, are fully multi-coated) and the metal body is well machined. Once twilight had ended I tweaked the focus, (each eyepiece has individual focussing) started gazing at the heavens, and was blown away by the views. The low power (x2.1) coupled with the 42mm objective lenses give a sweeping view of constellations and enable the user to see stars of around 1.5 magnitude dimmer than the naked eye - the stars really pop out. Top of the range constellation binos can cost upwards of 3 times the SV407s and I haven't compared them but I strongly doubt they are three times better. One of my better astronomy purchases. It is worth noting that they can be tripod/monopod mounted with the appropriate bracket. These are keepers. Thank you to SvBONY, ShenZhen Retevis Technology, and Svbony AU.

Enjoyable to use. Clear images Heavier because of the design, but not too heavy to hold for longer periods. Individual focus rings work fine. Nice images for night skies and surprisingly enjoyable in the daytime for clear views of wider expanses, when you are not looking for strong magnification. Included decent rubberized lens covers and a little pouch.

5 Sterne, weil Preis - Leistung gut bis sehr gut, teilweise TOP Abbildungseigenschaften. Jetzt muss ich mal die Lanze für dieses SV 406P ED Spektiv brechen! Zuerst nach 3 Tagen die Rücksendung beantragt, weil eine brauchbare Qualität nur im 20 bis 40er Faktor erzielt wurde. Dann war da auf einmal dieser klare Tag mit reiner Luft. Dazu ein vernünftiges Stativ- und ich meine ein richtig stabiles Stativ, so wie ich es für Mittelformatkameras (6x7) verwende, das war‘s! Plötzlich ist die Scharfstellung auch im vollen Vergrößerungsbereich gelungen, wenngleich dazu eine hauchdünne Nuance am Einstellungsrad erforderlich ist, ABER gestochen scharf, unglaublich. Der Mond im 60er Faktor zum Greifen nahe, ein Bussard in 150m Entfernung auf die Federn scharfgestellt. Ich bin Profi-Fotograf, mit über 45 Jahren Erfahrung, Objektive sind da schnell mal 5stellig. Es war ein Versuch, kann man um 300 € in diesen Vergrößerungsbereichen überhaupt eine Qualität erreichen? JA! Es ist verwunderlich, wie gut diese Linsen abbilden. Das ED-Glas macht da sicher einiges aus. Das Gesamtbild kontrastreich, erstaunlich wenig Farbsäume, auch im Streulicht. Ich konnte ein 6000 € Spektiv vergleichen- ja, klar besser! Aber dieser Unterschied ist keinesfalls 5700 € wert! Ein Thema bleibt, ohne einem stabilen Stativ mit Fluidkopf (kostet leider mehr als das Spektiv) ist es nahezu unbrauchbar. Die Verzögerung des Fluids erleichtert die Suche nach Objekten, weil damit kleinste Einstellungen möglich sind. Daher für Wanderungen eher nicht geeignet, dann schleppt man 12 Kilo am Rücken, aber für Urlaub usw. absolut zu empfehlen. 1Beinstative sind nur im untersten Zoombereich anzuraten. Für Wanderungen ist das kleinere SV 410 9-27x56 ED ein Tipp, das ist um 2/3 kleiner und braucht nur ein leichtes Stativ mit Fluid-Kopf. Fazit: Für im Verhältnis wenig Geld viel Freude, reine Luft, dann geht sehr viel, der 20 bis 40er Bereich ist sehr gut, weil leicht einzustellen. Dazu noch austauschbare Okulare!!! Noch ein Tipp, um die beste Schärfe zu erreichen, das Okular „eindrehen“ auf Anschlag einstecken scharfstellen und durch die Drehung des gesamten Okulars kann die Qualität evtl. noch verbessert werden. Viel Spaß! (Ich kannte Svbony vorher nicht, aber es war die beste Auswahl)

ED Spotting Scope SV406P 20-60x80 | Svbony

Auch als astronomisches Teleskop top!Auch als astronomisches Teleskop top! In erster Linie verwende ich dieses ED-Spektiv als Grab-and-go Teleskop auf einem Videoneiger. Die Möglichkeit 1,25er Okulare zu verwenden sowie die optische Qualität waren für mich der Ausschlag hier zuzuschlagen. Mechanisch einwandfrei aufgebaut. Der Grobfokus bietet einen angenehmen Widerstand, der Mikrofokus läuft schön leicht und präzise. Das Zoomokular bildet vernünftig ab und ist absolut zufriedenstellend verwendbar. Ich verwende an Okularen die 68° Weitwinkel von Svbony in 6,9,15mm, Plössl in 15 und 32mm, UWW 20mm 70° und 65°. Alle verwendeten Okulare kommen in den Fokus und liefern an diesem Spektiv herausragende Ergebnisse. Die Optik wird sicher problemlos in der Nacht 120-130fach schaffen bei exzellenter Abbildung. Nach einiger Recherche habe ich zwar nicht herausfinden können welche Glaspaarung genau verwendet wird, jedoch dass dieses Spektiv ein Triplet ED ist! Das ist auf dem Niveau von ED-Refraktoren im dreilinsigem Design. Ergo, das gute Stück arbeitet mit drei Linsen. Die Frabkorrektur ist zu diesem Preis sehr ordentlich. Blausäume treten je nach Okular nur gering am Rand auf, im zentralen Bildausschnitt ist so gut wie keine chromatische Aberration zu sehen. Dadurch nimmt man die CA am Rand fast nicht war. Als Härtetest zeigt sich das am Jupiter. Bei 70facher Vergrößerung im 6mm Okular sieht man gestochen scharf die Hauptbänder ohne störende Blausäume oder violette Halos. Die klassischen zweilinsigen ED-Refraktoren mit FPL51 Glas halten da definitiv nicht mit und erzeugen mehr chromatische Aberrationen. Für mich ist dieses Spektiv tatsächlich die eierlegende Wollmichsau: super optische Leistung, variable Okularwahl, robust, wasserfest, leicht… Absolute Empfehlung als robustes Teleskop.

Garantie-Abwicklung nach schwerem Mangel Ohne ersichtlichen Grund hat sich im inneren des Tubus ein großer Ring gelöst. Dadurch wurde offensichtlich auch die Innenseite der Frontlinse beschädigt. Das Spektiv wurde vor einem Jahr erworben, etwa drei mal verwendet, stets sorgsam damit hantiert und ansonsten immer liegend gelagert. Der äußere Zustand ist daher absolut neuwertig. Es muss sich daher um einen Produktions- oder Materialfehler handeln. Ich habe den Artikel heute reklamiert und erwarte mir einen kostenlosen Umtausch oder fachgerechte Reparatur. Bin gespannt wie das bei dem über Svbony erworbenen Produkt verläuft. Das fehlerhafte Produkt bewerte ich daher vorerst mit nur einem Stern. Je nach Abwicklung meiner Reklamation bewerte ich gegebenenfalls später neu. Update: Vorbildliche Garantie-Abwicklung! Nach erfolgter Reklamation mit mehreren Beleg-Fotos wurde vom Verkäufer umgehend ein fabriksneues Ersatz-Modell gesendet. Dieser Service verdient eine positive Bewertung und das Produkt an sich finde ich jetzt wieder toll! Bleibt zu hoffen, dass dieser Fehler am Vorgängermodell ein Einzelfall war und nicht häufiger vorkommt.

very, very good for the price but is a lottery because quality control Very good construction and optical quality compared to the price. AC level is low. The clarity is good about 2 thirds of the image but it is not very bad towards the edge. The colors are really beautiful! Magnification seems to be correct (which is not the case with cheaper models that have the same parameters only on paper). The brightness is very good! A single negative point, the clarity adjustment made of two concentric buttons rubs inside as if it is missing a washer and does not have enough lubrication. But after more use, it rubs a little less often, just randomly, but it seems obvious to me that it's a small manufacturing quality defect. But otherwise it's wonderful and considering that quality control is not the strong point of this brand, I consider myself lucky to have found one with a quality image! So I don't risk returning it, I may receive another one that is not as good. Basically it's a lottery (I've already returned 2 different models from the same brand). Which in a way is also explainable because, nevertheless, the prices of this brand are actually excellent for what is offered! One more thing - the green cover with many openings and zippers is very complicated, but once you get used to it, it's really useful. In conclusion, it really deserves the 5 stars given! (with one objection....... be lucky to get a good copy!)

Très bonne longue vue avec un bon rapport qualité prix Livraison sous 24h et colis en très bon état. La longue-vue est de très bon qualité aussi bien au niveau des matériaux que des finitions. Juste un essai, mais déjà très satisfait du résultat, les couleurs ressortent bien, la mise au point est précise grâce au réglage rapide et au réglage fin. En observant un lisière de forêt à 1,4 km, l'image est nette, les couleurs plutôt corrects et ceci malgré les perturbations dues à la chaleur (mouvement de l'image). Attention, la longue vue reste assez lourde et il faut un pied adapté. Avec un svbony Basics Trépied léger de 152 cm cela fonctionne mais le pointage est délicat (il faut bien ajuste le serrage dans les différentes directions pour avoir assez de dureté mais pas de trop pour orienter la longue vue. Attention le support smartphone SV214 n'est pas compatible, le diamètre de l'objectif est une peu trop grand pour le système de fixation.

Erster Eindruck - sehr gut! Ein Spektiv mit Zoomokular und ED-Optik sowie 80er Öffnung soll es sein. Der Haken: 500€ sind mein Maximum, gebraucht oder neu! Gebraucht, so stelle ich schnell fest, gibt es nur sehr betagte Exemplare, neu fast nichts. Ich bestelle das recht ordentlich bewertete Vanguard Endeavor HD82A. Leider stellt es mich in Punkto Schärfe ab 30 fach nicht wirklich zufrieden, der Rest ist sehr ordentlich. Es geht leider zurück. Ich stoße bei meiner Recherche auf das in Deutschland kaum bekannte SVBONY SV406P mit ED Glas und 1 1/4" Steckokular!!! Da es keine Bewertung hierzulande gibt bin ich skeptisch, finde außerdem zuerst das Teil nur bei eBay.com für ca. 300 $US (+Einfuhrgebühren u. MWST.) bzw. bei AliExpress. Letztlich finde ich es auch hier bei Svbony und es ist direkt lieferbar, also schon in Deutschland und Zoll+MWST. sind schon eingepreist. 399€ abzgl. 5% Rabatt. Ich gebe mir einen Ruck und bestelle da ich kein Risiko eingehe. Jetzt ist es da und ich habe heute morgen gegen 5.15 Uhr die ersten Beobachtung gemacht. Wow! Gestochen scharfe Abbildungen bei 20fach, Einblick und Helligkeit sehr ordentlich, der Dualfokus funktioniert gut. Die Zoomfunktion wirkt stramm, geht aber in Ordnung, das Teil ist neu. Aber im Unterschied zum Vanguard ist auch bei 60 fach die Abbildung noch recht scharf, die Helligkeit gut, es ist früher Morgen! Das zu diesem Preis ist wirklich gut, eine Schutz- und Tragetasche ist inklusive. Ich werde es behalten und bin gespannt auf kommende Beobachtungen und meine Erfahrungen damit. Bilder in Reihenfolge mit Smartphone Samsung S8+ freihand aufgenommen: 15 m. bei 20fach 40 m. bei 20fach 2 km. bei 60fach Update kommt bei weiteren Tests Neuerliche Foto-Versuche mit meinem Samsung S8+ sind vielversprechend und machen Lust auf mehr. Bis jetzt bin ich sehr von diesem Spektiv beeindruckt. Mond sowie Elster (ca. 50m) fotografiert auf Manfrotto 475B mit 141RC (3 Wege-Neiger).

Great scope and excellent value Really good scope for the money. Sharpe and bright with no fringing. Colour good. Darkens a bit at x60 but still reasonably sharpe and useable. Dual focus knob is great, allowing a light touch for final focus so not to wobble when on a light tripod. Well built and light to carry. Nice protective jacket. Definitely recommend for birding.

Great for occassional Fall migration birding, if you want best price/performance In a price/performance perspective, this is a very good scope. Of course, it's not as good as a Leica, Zeiss, Swarovski or Kowa costing multiples of what you pay for the SVBONY. But compared to what can be had for the same price (mainly cheap scopes with no ED glass and generally lower quality, lower light transmission, more CA, etc.), it's an extremely good buy. If you need the "alpha" quality, you of course need to shed that amount of money. But if you are an occassional user, perhaps like me, taking the scope for 2-5 migration bird watching trips every fall, this may be a strong choice. I have spent more on binoculars, because I use those in many more situations. The scope is sort of the thing to bring for the few specialized trips per year - and I can tell that it gets the job done very well. It has some CA towards the edges, but it's not too much, and not something that bothers me (comparable to 300€ 8x42 binos, perhaps like Nikon Prostaff 7). The build quality is robust and accessories are good. To me, it looks like more or less the same (white label?) scope as the different "dual focus mechanism + ED glass" that different brands market (such as focus viewmater ed, hawke endurance ed, bresser pirsch, alpen apex), but just markedly cheaper - perhaps skipping a few steps in the B2B chain brings the price down. So, if you need a scope for just a few trips per year, and you want something with better optics than the abundance of very cheap, bad scopes (perhaps because you're not ignorant to optical quality and owns better binoculars), but you also don't want to shell out to much (because you're either young and poor and wanting to spend the money on travelling to interesting sites rather than on gear, or, you're only using it occasionally, because your binos are your main piece of gear and you're not wealthy enough to have a Leica scope sitting unused 360 days per year), then this is a very good product.

Bra prestanda Har spanat på fåglar och andra djur och det ser jättebra ut upp till 40x zoom iaf. En del color fringe och svårare att se på max zoom. Har även använt kikaren på natten och sett en komet, orion nebulosa, mars, andromedagalaxen, pleiaderna. Funkar bra att använda med andra 1.25” okular från stjärnkikare, men den medföljande zoomen är helt ok.

Oltre le mie prudenti aspettative Ho ricevuto ieri il prodotto e questa mattina l'ho provato per ora dal mio balcone. Prossimamente lo proverò per il motivo per il quale lo ho acquistato ovvero il tiro TLD con l'esame dei fori di proiettile 308 su bersagli posti a 200 e 300 metri. Le mie prime considerazioni dal balcone: 1) Il montaggio è fin troppo semplice e non richiede istruzioni (almeno nel mio caso); 2) La messa a fuoco risponde bene , il risultato migliore l'ho riscontrato ruotando la ghiera grande sino a raggiungere una messa a fuoco grossolana ( un pò appannata) per poi regolare con con la ghiera piccola, ottenendo così un risultato di estrema precisione con un intervento minimo; 3) Le lenti sono ottime , ho puntato in varie direzioni provando lo zoom ad ogni distanza utilizzando tutta la scala (sino a 60x) e non ho riscontrato distorsione , aberrazione del colore (come letto in alcune recensioni); forse il mio prodotto ha subito una qualche miglioria? non so che dire Oltre il Kilometro si vedono benissimo i dettagli riesco a leggere i cartelli ferroviari (che sono più grandi di quelli stradali ovviamente). Dalle premesse spero che a 300 metri non abbia difficoltà in poligono considerando che ho potuto leggere distintamente le scritte di un cartello della sosta a pagamento ad oltre 400 metri. p.s. L'unica nota sgradita è che ho dovuto togliere gli occhiali per poterlo gestire alla meglio, con l'ottica della carabina questo non è necessario. Comunque sempre pronto a confermare oppure ad adeguare il giudizio dopo la prova a poligono

A lot of value for your hard earned money Build quality is very good and it feels well made. I'm waiting for a clear night sky but initial experiences with terrestrial viewing are very satisfying. Very sharp from 20 to about 50 zoom. After that the image gets a bit softer. CA is only visible with sharp contrast but it's only minimal. Focusing is fairly easy with the 2 speeds. When zooming in, the eye relief get's shorter. You need to adjust the eye cup accordingly. I think that's normal for zooming eye pieces. The ability to use other standard 1.25" eye pieces is an added bonus. In my opinion this spotting scope is unbeatable in this price range.

Ein sehr gutes ED Scope! Mit ein wenig Tuning zu Maximalleistung bereitEin sehr gutes ED Scope! Mit ein wenig Tuning zu Maximalleistung bereit Ein wirklich tolles und qualitativ hochwertiges Spotting Scope! Es handelt sich hierbei um ein echtes ED Scope mit 3 Linsen in 3 Gruppen. Der Farbfehler ist beeindruckend klein. Selbst am hellen Mond funktioniert das Scope auch beim hohen Vergrößerungen super gut. Das Zoom-Okular habe ich allerdings direkt gegen ein hochwertiges Zoom von TS Optics eingetauscht. Das geht problemlos, weil die 1,25“ Adaption mit Ringklemmung vorhanden ist. Sehr gut mitgedacht, Svbony! Und das Premium Zoomokular 7,2 mm bis 21,5 mm - 1,25" von TS Optics macht einen perfekten Job! Klar, kein großes Gesichtsfeld, aber ich schaue mit einem solchen Scope ja auch punktuell auf Objekte und nicht im Richfield-Modus auf den Sternenhimmel. Dafür habe ich meine Teleskope. Insofern ist die Kombination aus dem ED und den TS-Zoom perfekt. Farbfehler quasi nicht vorhanden, was meine Eindrücke angeht. Besser geht natürlich immer, aber Preis/Leistung ist hier wirklich unschlagbar. Um das Scope sowohl am Tag als auch in der Nacht vernünftig ausrichten zu können, habe ich noch einen passenden Laser-Finder mit rot/grün Variation installiert. Funktioniert einwandfrei. Siehe Foto. In Summe: ein super gutes ED Spotting Scope! Mit ein wenig Tuning bekommt man maximale Leistung! Meines Erachtens ist das standardmäßig gelieferte Zoom-Okular nicht optimal abgestimmt, aber die optischen Komponenten des ED sind wirklich einwandfrei! Zumindest bei meinem Gerät, Serienstreuung ist natürlich nicht ausgeschlossen.
