ED Spotting Scope SV406P 20-60x80 | Svbony

Decent scope for money Decent scope for the money. Loses some clarity at very high magnification and camera doesn’t always connect to phone on first try but that may just user error. Camera takes decent photos. Worth the money and happy with purchase.

Excellent Customer Service, Good Scope, but Room for Improvement I'm giving the SVBONY SV406P spotting scope 5 stars, not because it's the best scope on the market, but because of the exceptional customer service I received from the seller. Initially, I had a problem with the product, and the seller was quite persistence in asking questions, which I found a bit frustrating. However, they eventually resolved the issue, and I appreciate their dedication to customer satisfaction. The scope itself is okay, but not outstanding. The image quality is good, but when zoomed to the maximum, it doesn't quite compare to some of its competitors. I've used other spotting scopes in the past, and while the SV406P is decent, it doesn't blow me away. One major disappointment is the SC001 wireless camera that comes with the scope. Unfortunately, it's not very good, and I wouldn't recommend relying on it for serious photography or videography. The image quality is subpar, and it's not very user-friendly. Despite these drawbacks, I'm still giving the SVBONY SV406P 5 stars because of the seller's commitment to resolving my issue and providing good customer service. If you're in the market for a spotting scope and don't mind a few compromises, this might be a good option for you. Just be aware of the limitations, especially with the wireless camera.

Great value at this price Ok this isn't a Zeiss or Swarovski. If you think it should be for £120 you're delusional. For that price it's well made with decent optics. Bright as you'd expect with that big lens and perfectly sharp to around 50x then usable after that. Caps and case very good too. Improving on this size of scope is going to mean a jump to around 4x the price.

Excellent Spotting Scope for Its Price This spotting scope quality is excellent. Pair it with the SC001 for wireless viewing, although you do loose some clarity and magnification from the primary optics.

SV406 Spotting Scope HD 20-60x80 Spotting Scope FMC Dual Focus for Bird Watching Wildlife Target Shooting

Fantastic spotting scope, great valueFantastic spotting scope, great value TBH, as a caveat to this review, I have not yet taken this Svbony spotting scope to the range as I just received it. However, in my efforts to give helpful feedback (I was excited to test it out right away), I did test it out pretty extensively at home. First of all, and this is quite important IMHO with regards to having optics shipped, the scope and its accessories came extremely well packaged and protected. The box containing the scope itself arrived inside of an svbony box. Within the manufacturer’s box, all components were protected in a very nice custom cut high density foam insert. The scope kit includes a soft nylon carrying case with handle (which also further protects the optics during shipping), a tripod, instruction pamphlet and two eyepiece optics protector caps (more on this later). The tripod is lightweight at just 299 grams, but sturdy enough and easy to use with a twist lock handle for elevation and windage adjustments. It is about 12 inches long folded. As stated, although not the sturdiest of tripods, it is easy to pack and carry and is sturdy and stable enough for its intended use. The only thing it lacks is a quick release mechanism between the tripod and the scope to make set up and take down more convenient. As it is, it takes a bit of effort to get the mounting screw lined up with the scope mounting base threads and then to screw it down completely. All in all, a relatively minor issue though that can be easily resolved with a third party quick release latching device. The scope itself is well built and measures around 18 inches in length with a nice solid feel weighing in at 1531 grams or 3lbs 6 ozs. A reasonable weight for a scope with these optics (20x-60x with a 80mm objective) but not so heavy to be cumbersome, yet not so light as to feel cheap. Zooming using the eyepiece is very smooth and holds “zero” well. Focusing is accomplished with two coaxial knobs, one for quick/gross focusing and the other stacked one for fine tuning. Both work well, have a nice smooth feel, and both hold their positions well. The lens caps are made of a nice rubber/silicone type material that are tethered to the scope for easy of use and to prevent loss. Hopefully, the rubberized material will hold up over time after repeated uses at the range and after thermocycling. The two additional caps are to be used to protect the eyepiece optics as this scope is designed to be compatible with a WiFi camera which fits in place of the eyepiece (not included in this kit). When attached to the tripod, the overall height runs about 15 inches. The balance point of the scope mounting plate is well placed, and even when the tripod handle is not tightened down, the scope maintains its position (as long as it is not vibrated) making pointing the scope to your target very easy. The only down side is that although a nice nylon fabric carrying case is provided for the scope, it will not fit the tripod and the tripod does not come with a separate case. Again, not a big deal for me as it is easily packed into my range bag.

Nice stable comfortable magnification I've gotten other astronomy items from SVBONY, and have always been happy with the quality of their products. This spotting scope is very nice too, providing up to 80 magnification with a nice confortable eyepiece and sturdy stable tripod. Really easy to dial in and focus, nice bright clear image. Waterproof and fog proof should hold up to outdoor elements. Nice tripod with counter weight. Folds up nicely and has a handy carry bag.

Clear Glass, Great Clarity and Magnification. The advertisement for this Spotting Scope is accurate, so I will not repeat it here. The Glass looks clear and pristine, providing excellent clarity. The Magnification allows me to see the hit at distance. This is a Great Spotting Scope, very satisfied.
