Ease and quality.

If you like clear nights and have always been interested in looking at the Moon or planets, the SVBONY MK 127mm is a gem. You don't need to be an expert or have huge equipment to enjoy great views. This telescope is super compact and easy to take anywhere; you can easily fit it in your car if you're going on a getaway to seek out darker skies. What I love about this telescope is its Maksutov-Cassegrain design. What does that mean? Basically, even though it's small, the image quality is tremendous. It lets you see the Moon in incredible detail, and if you're patient, it lets you observe planets like Jupiter and Saturn with their rings. Another advantage is how easy it is to operate, so if you're someone who doesn't want to fiddle with a thousand different settings, you'll like this one. You set it up quickly, get your bearings, and that's it—you're ready to enjoy the sky. Plus, since it's lightweight, you won't get tired moving it around. Now, it's not a super-advanced piece of equipment for astrophotography, but if you want to start getting started capturing the Moon, some planets or deep sky with a simple camera, it's perfect! And of course, you can also use it for terrestrial observation. If you have a good view from home, this telescope can also be used to view landscapes and details at long distances.

A Stellar Upgrade

Upgrading to the SVBONY 127mm Maksutov-Cassegrain from a beginner's telescope has been an astronomical leap in my stargazing journey. Here's why this telescope is a star performer in its category. Powerful Magnification: The leap in detail is breathtaking. Viewing Jupiter felt like bringing the giant planet right into my backyard. The clarity and closeness with which I could observe its bands and moons were a game-changer. Compact and Portable: Despite its large aperture, this compound-style reflector telescope is surprisingly portable. Its design is perfect for those who have limited space but don't want to compromise on quality. Ease of Use: Transitioning from a beginner's scope, I found the SVBONY 127mm to be user-friendly. It strikes a nice balance between advanced features and simplicity, making it accessible for amateurs looking to step up their game. Conclusion: The SVBONY 127mm Maksutov-Cassegrain is an excellent choice for anyone looking to upgrade from a beginner telescope. Its ability to bring distant celestial bodies like Jupiter "close" and in stunning detail is impressive. It combines power, portability, and ease of use in a way that's hard to beat. Whether you're an amateur astronomer passionate about planetary observation or deep-sky viewing, this telescope will not disappoint. It's an investment that opens up a whole new universe to explore. Wish I started off with this one, but at least now I appreciate it more having stepped up to it.

Excellent telescope

This is my first telescope and i goggled alot of them, i spent about a week looking for the right one and then found this and I'm not dissapointed, it was easy to set up and very easy to line up, the image quality is brilliant. I have been looking at svbony tripods and am debating whether to buy one.

Highly recommend, easy and fun!

I bought this after doing as much research as possible.I was thrilled to have finally have a clear night to take it out and I’m so pleased on my first moon images! They are so clear! The star sense app is easy enough to use but a little tricky getting it aligned. I have to bring it out during the day again today to get it aligned a little better and adjusted to where I can sit vs standing and hunching over it. I would highly recommend this telescope. I just bought a Barlow lens adapter and a moon filter lens cause it was blinding. Will update after I get to use those.

Nice

Awesome telescope, and great for looking at anything in the sky

A dream come true

I was surprised of the stunning clearity, optics of this telescope, I will be recommending this to my friends and colleagues who may be a dreamer like myself so that they can enjoy what I am certainly enjoying, I am very pleased with my experience and purchase. Money well spent 👌

Great beginner portable option

I have been actively involved in astronomy for about 3 years now. I have two other reflector style telescopes. One of the things I find quite often is that I am visiting some place with a great sky and wished I had my telescopes with me. They are not convenient to take down and pack up. As soon as I saw a review for the Mk127, I knew this would be a great and affordable option to put in the car and have available any time. The day I got the Mk127, I was able to have it out of the box and set up on a tripod I already owned within minutes. As is typical, once you get set up, your clear skies disappear and the clouds move in. I had enough clear sky to sight in on Sirius and get a good clear view. Looking forward to checking out the Orion Nebula, Pleiades and the Moon when I get clear skies again. The size is a result and benefit of the Maksutov-Cassegrain design. The most important component of a telescope are the optics and these seem to be of good quality for something in this price range. I believe it is a suitable secondary option for travel and portability.

First time buyer

Gifted this to my hubby and he loved it. Very simple to use. Happy with the product and the delivery time.

Q&A:

  • Q1:Does MK127 need a focusing tube to focus?
  • A:No, the optical axis has been calibrated before leaving the factory. This is the same for all MK series.
  • Q2:What is the front outer diameter of the MK127?
  • A:The outer diameter of the MK127 is 145 mm.
  • Q3:Will the reducer be included with the telescope package?
  • A:Yes, it is included as a standard accessory.
  • Q4:Is the 0.65× focal reducer sold separately?
  • A:This reducer is a dedicated accessory and is not sold separately, it is not suitable for use with other brands of telescopes.
  • Q5:Is the optical tube internally baffled to reduce stray light and improve contrast?
  • A:Yes, the inner wall is coated with anti-reflective paint and includes a conical baffle.
  • Q6:What is the maximum recommended useful magnification for this telescope?
  • A:A magnification of 254x is perfectly acceptable.
  • Q7:Is a carrying case or any kind of protection included?
  • A:We provide a storage bag, and the transport packaging is absolutely secure.
  • Q8:Is the dovetail bar removable or can it be replaced with a longer one?
