I’ve been pleasantly surprised by this camera. It’s the first cooled camera I’ve owned, and compared to my other cameras, which are more focused on planetary imaging (305, 715), its size and weight are noticeably larger (not a problem in itself, but something to keep in mind when calculating the load for the mount). I use it with an SV480 102/660 and it works perfectly. I had to purchase the SVBONY extension tubes to reach focus, but aside from that, there have been no issues. I can easily lower the temperature down to -10 °C outdoors, which, given that it’s currently winter, isn’t particularly remarkable. The important point is that when I test it indoors (to build a dark library) with an ambient temperature of 25 °C, the camera still reaches -10 °C with the cooling running at 65–70%. This gives me a lot of confidence for summer nights. It’s a purchase I fully recommend for anyone looking to take the step into cooled cameras.

The camera is working perfectly, I'm using -5/-10c gain101 offset 5 and the results are amazing for the price. Thanks

The 605CC OSC camera has a great performace, it can be used on short focal scopes and for longer focal scopes perfoms very well too. It´s IMX533 has zero amp glow making so easy taking the calibrating frames. The cooled device works correctly in a down range of -15º to -20º from the outside temperature, it gets around 50%-60% of its power suply. Very nice symbiosis with NINA and Sharcap, its native driver allows to work properly without any inconvinnence. But the bunch is on its price-value, there isn't any other place where you can find the IMX533 at this price. It´s a hugely commended camera, it will noy dissapoint you.

This is my first cooled camera. I hoped for a decent imaging and the camera didn't disappoint me. I made several sessions shooting for 6 hours + and there were no problems whatsoever (apart from he clouds :-( ). The images are much better than those that I got with my mirrorless Lumix, the full light spectrum makes a huge difference to modified Lumix camera. The camera integrates easily with NINA (also with Sharpcap but I don't use it much). I chose this SV605CC because it uses the very recommended IMX533 sensor. The price is half of the ZWO one!!! I had a very good and quick contact with the service - at the beginning I had a problem with "hanging" copy of the data from the camera. Luckily, it turned out that it was the faulty USB hub that I used and nothing is wrong with the camera. But the response from the support was quick and nice. Overall - very satisfied.

When you break away from the dslr and are looking for a dedicated astrophotography camera, the SVbony SV605cc is a great choice for those on a budget. It pairs well with NINA and produces some very quality pictures (when you get clear skies :) ). I bought this after having more success with the SV405cc (also a great camera) but I feel like the smaller 1 inch by 1 inch IMX533 sensor is a better choice for me. This camera paired with the SV503 80ED scope have been a game changer for me as a new amateur astrophotographer. I did get some amp glow very rarely with the SV405CC (common for the IMX294 sensor) however the IMX533 in the SV605cc hasn't had any issues.

I've finally got some time to gather light under the winter night skies after receiving this camera as my first cooled astrocamera. It is a change after Canon EOS 600D! I expected better results for near-IR part of the spectrum, but, oh boy, I really saw the difference when I took pictures of the broad-band objects (M45 and M33). It is fantastic how much of a difference cooling can make to the noise when shooting from the city center of Brno (Bortle 7-8). I definitely recommend you to try this camera if you are planning to switch from DSLRs. It is affordable and has a lot of positives: low noise, almost no apm-glow (I see some in the corner, but it is cropped out with dithering margins anyway). I use it with a Sky-Watcher 72ED, so the resolution is about 2.7" per pixel, so I cannot see whether the cooling fan adds some vibration to the picture or not, it should be fine with smaller focal lengths. As a drawback, I can only see the cooling not being powerful enough for the warmer countries, but in Europe it is enough to cool the camera to -5 degrees during autumn/spring and -15 during winter.

Excellent camera and great customer service and delivery. I cannot recommend Svbony and this camera high enough. If you are in the UK and have any concerns about ordering from abroad then there is no need to worry, Svbony have provided me excellent service and I had zero problems with delivery. Well done Svbony 👌

I had great support on the repairs to my 605CC camera. The Svbony team help me through the returns process to get the problem resolved. Many thanks. The darks calibration files look very good now with out the banding.

Ich bought the 605CC as an upgrade for my Canon 600Da. The quality is very good aswell as the customer support. I´ve taken a 1h exposure of NGC 7000 with my 600Da and it looks very similiar to the 3min exposure of the 605CC with the Sv220 DNB filter. I think that says everything. I can totally recommend this camera, espacially for its price and when using with the Sv220 or a SvBony scope. 5/5

This is a great budget camera for the price but there is a minor "amp glow" showing on a corner of the sensor and there is somewhat more banding even after the upgrade. Satisfied but not thrilled!!!

I bought this SVBONY 605 camera because it was less expensive than competitive cameras with the same image sensor. This camera takes great images and works with the software that I use for automated astrophotography. I have used this camera weekly over the last several months and I am pleased with the performance and reliability.

My first camera had the known banding issue but SVBONY took care of it for me and got me the updated version. I'd been using a DSLR and had no idea what I was missing in the sky. I use this with Stellarmate on a Pi4 but could never get it working in Astroberry. I have stacks of 8 hours from my DSLR that don't come close to what I get from 1 hour with this camera. I know it's not a pro level camera but if you're on a budget and want great results, this is for you.

Features
- SV605CC is the deep space camera of SVBONY brand. It is designed with SONY IMX533 color SMOS sensor, which is recommended by amateur asreonomers. Here are some highlights:
- 1. Back-illuminated sensor - improving sensitivity and reducing noise
- 2. 1'' format with 3.76 um pixel size - ideal for many types of telescopes
- 3. 14-bit ADC - giving high dynamic range of 13 stops.
- 4. An impressive 50ke-full well capacity - helping to reduce the issue of,for example, saturated stars.
- 5. HCG mode - When set the gain at 120 or higher, the HCG mode is autonatically enabled, and reduce the read noise to even lover levels without loss the dynamic range.
- 6. Exceptuinal low-illumination performance of SNR1s:0.14 lx is realized by use of a large-size optical system and by expanding the area per pixel to 3.76um.This makes the IMX533 ieal for security camera market applicatiuons that require low illumination performance.
- 7. The IMX533 sensor adopts the 1'' format and provides the necessary number of pixels for true 4k output at 120 frames per second(W/ ADC 10-bit output mode, the SV605CC can run up to 20fps at 4k format when used with USB3.0)
