Svbony SC715C Color Planetary Camera SONY IMX715 CMOS Sensor USB 3.0

SC715C

Product Review

I have briefly used the Svbony SC715C color planetary camera twice on my Celestron 127slt mak telescope to capture and image Jupiter on 2 sessions and the image results have been outstanding. The is a very solid and well make color planetary camera from Svbony that produces high resolution low noise images of planets, deep sky objects etc. The geat thing about this planetary camera over the other planetary cameras on the market is that you do not need a barlow to get a proper sampled planetary image on a high focal length telecopes like MAKs and SCTs. In addition on wider field telescopes like deep sky reffractors adding a barlow now with this high resolution camera will now allow to get super quality captures of planet such as Jupiter instead of tiny lifeless small blobs with very little details due to low sampling. This is all because this camera use a small sensor size of 1.45um instead of the usual 2.9um of other planetary cameras on the market in older sensors. The Svbony SC715C is highly recommended for planetary imaging on most meduim to high focal length telescopes!

APS-C Color Cooled Astronomy Camera | SC571CC

SC571CC

Product Review

I’m very pleased with the initial tests of this SC571CC camera. The image quality is on par with other brands using the same sensor, but at a much more affordable price point. This is my second SvBony camera; I’ve owned the SV405CC for over two years with excellent, trouble-free results. I also use an SV305PRO as a guide camera, which I highly recommend—the guiding precision I've achieved is impressive. I’m confident the new SC571CC will live up to my previous experiences. The brand consistently improves its products while maintaining high quality and very attractive pricing. Their filters, guide scopes, and other accessories certainly do not disappoint I also want to mention their sales team, who made the entire process easy and provided great support throughout the purchase

Deep Sky Astrophotography Accessories Kit | SVBONY SC571CC

SC571CC

Product Review

Hi, As always, I love the unbeatable quality/price ratio of SVBony products and the impeccable customer service (speed of deliveries, quality of rational packaging, and attentive customer service). Everything works perfectly with N.I.N.A., and I am waiting for clear skies to start my first captures with the new SC571CC camera along with the SV210 Rotator Camera Angle Adjuster + the SV209 Field Flattener, the OAG SV238 + the SV905C camera. The only difficulty was finding the driver for the SV905C tracking camera so that it is recognized by N.I.N.A. The drivers are not on the page http://svbony.com/downloads/software-driver but on the page http://www.svbony.com/pages/support-software-driver. I was also able to test the excellent and high-quality HUB SV241, which works perfectly. Since I have a mini PC equipped with the appropriate connectors, I don't need it for now, but I keep it precious. Thank you to the entire SVBony team for the excellent quality/price ratio of your products, which allow me to devote myself to my favorite hobby: observing and photographing deep-sky objects. See you under the stars! JFR

SVBONY SV183 685nm IR Pass Filter 1.25" for Planetary Astrophotography

SV183

Product Review

I have used the Svbony IR650 Pass filter on several different cameras for imaging in IR on Jupiter to view the upper atmospheric methane clouds and it works wonderfully for this purpose. It works very well particular with modern cmos cameras that are senstive in the IR region. This is filter is also great for viewing the moon and viewing in bad cloudy and hazy atmospheric conditions. You can also use it for daytime and twilight viewing of the planets (before it gets dark) which is very cool. Here are some captures using the Svbony IR650 pass filter on my scopes. This filter is highly recommended for the above purposes mentioned.

APO Astro Camera Lense | SVBONY SV535

SV535

Product Review

Fantastic Apo Lens/Refractor. The super fast F2.8 it shows remarkable results in a very polluted city of Seattle area. Added a dual band filter from same brand and the results is just outstanding. Stars are complete round to the edge of the lens which is something that even many of the $2000 to $5000 telescope will NOT have. It ships from China which can take a while but by all means it is very worth it the extra time of waiting for its arrival. This is a very affordable and Super Excellent Apo Lens/Refractor if should you need/want one, I promise you'll love it. Attached is a cropped image showing excellent details of the subject.

APS-C Color Cooled Astronomy Camera | SC571CC

SC571CC

Product Review

I've been using svbony products for about 4 years. Most recently I acquired the new SC571CC camera and the SV535 lens. While the attached image is certainly not perfectly processed, the result of just a few hours with this pair through, first, the SV240 filter and, later, the UV/IR Cut filter produced an excellent showcase of what this combination can deliver in terms of scale, color and sharpness over an immense patch of sky. I've attached a copy of this Barnard's Loop with Orion's belt and all the nebulosity that region offers.

Product Review

It is a great camera, works very well... there are minor things to fix in the firmware, in both of my computers sometimes when I stop/start capturing during a capture process, sometimes it get glitched, seems that there is something to fix in some place. The cooler is slow but reaches the desired temperature. It is not so heavy, that is a good thing. Nothing to complain. Would be amazing to get another camera like this, I will wait for a good deal.

SVBONY SC002 WIFI Electronic Eyepiece Camera for Birding Digiscoping

SC002

Product Review

Very pleased. Connects easily to app and takes good pics and video. The lighting can be adjusted easily but the auto setting seems to work best. Here's a picture of the moon using a SVBONY 18mm flatfield eyepiece and their 501P spotting scope that accepts telescope eyepieces. You just put the camera on the lens and hold the bottom part and click the top and it locks silid into place. It works best to obtain focus Looking through the eyepiece first. Once you place the camera on the eyepiece you have to turn the camera to get the correct orientation of the picture so it is right side up. There was some extra magnification with the camera attached than what I saw through the eyepiece. One note, when using the app if you choose the different magnification options it does not change the zoom of the saved photograph it only brings the image in in closer in the app, which is okay for my needs because it helps me improve focus. The pictures are taken quickly with little delay which is a great improvement over the SC001 camera that inserts into the scope body. Only thing I wish SVBONY would include would be a soft cap for the bottom of the camera to protect the lens so I can put it in my pocket while birdwatching and not worry about the lens getting scratched or debris in the opening.

SVBONY SC002 WIFI Electronic Eyepiece Camera for Birding Digiscoping

SC002

Product Review

Vendor went out of their way to try to keep me happy, I am very happy, this device works as designed. I am long distance shooter, and this device for the price is exactly what the doctor ordered. I am also planning on stargazing, however; the same company has a better product for stargazing. I recommend anything they have for sale.

The quality is not the best but that’s not what we’re here for, we need convenience and that it is, very convenient that it lets you go hands free with any scope or binoculars. For the price it's worth it, not for professional use but for the casual user, it’s great.

SV605MC Mono Cooled Camera IMX533 for Deep Space Astrophotography

SV605MC

Product Review

This is my first monochrome astrophotography camera. Before this I was using the dslr. First it was a small learning curve since it is not the same as a point and shot camera. The drivers have to be install from the website and then connect it using ASCOM. Sharpcap saw it and I am now using everything Sharpcap. From taking live shots to see how it is coming out as the software stacks it for you and you can stretch it there. Now there is banding but nothing Siril can't fix with just one press of a button. The quality is amazing. I haven't used the cooling system yet because I need to learn how to set it up in SharpCap. Anyhow it is a great product and it is working beyond my expectations. There was a small hiccup with connection but it was user error. I used a flimsy usb 3.0 cable that moved on me and was a pain to get the both camera to turn on with the hub. Would I recommend it? 🤔 of course! Thank you SvBony for another great product 🙏 👏 👍

Color Planetary Camera SV705C | Svbony

SV705C

Product Review

I am new to astrophotography, but this camera is awesome for me. I am able to capture the things I want and I am happy with the quality. The images are nice and sharp with a lot less noise than the SV305 that I started with. The field of view is wide enough with my EvoStar 72mm to capture the DSOs I want. Extremely happy with this purchase. The color is off on my andromeda shot because of my playing around with the level in the live stack. That’s not the cameras fault.

This is a fabulous camera!!!!! It uses a great sensor with high sensitivity, is a good high resolution for the price, and honestly does not require a cooled version; just dither any noise away. Its pixel size is perfect for most native scope setups for crisp detail. At an affordable price it is a definite buy.

SV105 Planetary Camera IMX307 for Beginners Astrophotography

SV105

Product Review

I own a Celestron Starsense 130 and I been playing for some time, very nice telescope and easy to use but it gets anowing that everyone in the family have different Eyewear and we need to adjust the scope to every person eyes. I purchased the SVBONY camera and in 15 minutes I was streaming the scope view on my laptop to everyone enjoyment on the house. Thing to know: You need a dedicated program for connecting the camera to the laptop, i used the one from SVBONY ( very basic) but there are many outthere. The picture on the laptop is very good quality but you need to adjust the frames and exposure depend what you want to see. I find that using a lunar or light-pollution lents screwed on the camera help to have a clear and sharper picture. The programs on the computer saves the videos on .SAR files ( very new to me) and you need a .SAR files reader program on the computer to see the videos back. I'm very happy with this camera for this low price.

SV105 Planetary Camera IMX307 for Beginners Astrophotography

SV105

Product Review

I bought this camera because I had been using my DSLR for planetary and deep sky shots. The deep sky are nice, but the planetary exposures never got the detail I needed. And the DSLR I have doesn't allow you to adjust much of the video settings, so planets were often overexposed. One of the issues is the size of the sensor compared to the image falling on it. My camera is 12M pixels, which sounds like a lot compare to this 2M unit, but the sensor is so much bigger, it means the sensor pixels are larger. When you do prime focus photography (camera hooked up to your scope directly), even with a 2X barlow, the image is so small, coupled with the larger sensor pixels, it is difficult to get good resolution of planet details. Even using a projection setup (projecting from a telescope lens onto the cameras sensor - I used a 15mm lens) I still could not get good resolution. After looking at a bunch of information on astrophotography, I decided I wanted to try a dedicated camera. Which to choose? There is a ton of information out there and a lot depended on how much you were willing to pay. I decided to get the most reputable cheap unit I could find. Enter SVBONY 105. I got it on sale so it was even less than the normal $50. I thought I would see if I even enjoyed this before sinking significant money into it. The unit is aluminum and has a solid feel to it. The 1.25" barrel fit tightly into the telescope (almost a little too tight, it was sometimes awkward to switch between lens and camera but just a little sanding of the outer barrel and it will fit nicely). My original scope was an older Celestron 4". The first night I tried to use this was unbelievably frustrating as my scope didn't track well enough to be able to play with the settings in SharpCap to get a good picture. The advantage of a small sensor is its great resolution. The downside is that it is a very small spot to hit, and if you don't have a good tracking scope, you are constantly chasing the object. After a couple of attempts, I put this away and went back to the DSLR. Time passed and I got a newer Celestron 6SE. When aligned well, this scope stays LOCKED on your target. What a joy compared to the other scope. So, again, I started playing around with the DSLR and again, was disappointed with the results. I held off using this camera because I have to set up in my alley and it is just harder to drag out a computer and table and run power. Last night, however, I decided to do it. With the scope aligned I locked on to Jupiter and Saturn. After centering the planets in the eyepiece, I swapped in the camera and BAM, there were these beauties in all their glory. Detail was easy to make out, and with the scope locked on to them, I had the chance to take really good shots of the two. Jupiter was a little low so the seeing wasn't that good, but Saturn was high and beautiful. The attached picture is Saturn made with a 2X barlow and from a run of 1000 frames at 640x480 with SER output. I prepped the video in PIPP, stacked in AutoStakkert (using best 50%), sharpened them in RegiStax, and made some adjustments in GIMP (all software is free, thanks guys for allowing average Joes to get into astrophotography on the cheap). I was super happy with the results. I have never taken as good a picture of Saturn before. I plan to use this camera for a bit because I think it is going to help me decide what my next camera will be. I think I like the SVBONY 305, but we will see. Until then, I am going to enjoy how much better this $50 camera is capturing the heavens than my $600 DSLR. If you are new to astrophotography, want to get an introduction to a dedicated astro camera, are not bothered by setting up some extra equipment, and have a good tracking scope or someone to help, then this is such a small price to pay. Just know, if you enjoy it as much as me, you will probably quickly outgrow it and look for more capability (higher resolution, less noise, actively cooled sensor, etc). Hope this helps those of you on the fence.
