SVBONY SV183 685nm IR Pass Filter 1.25" for Planetary Astrophotography

Very pleased with this filter Very happy with this filter! Great results with an unmodified DSLR (Canon 80d) right through moderate light pollution. Coatings are very bright and the housing is well made. You can't beat this CLS filter for the money!

SV155 1.25 inch 7-Piece Filters Set for Moon Viewing Telescope Filter

Good quality, great polarized glare elimination. Great value, good quality, really cuts the glare on my low powered binoculars during the day, and at night you can really see the lunar details on a full moon. They also work great at eliminating street light over splash.

SVBONY saved me money again! These are a great bang for the buck. I have bought a lot of different SVBONY products over the years and will recommend them with confidence.

SV155 1.25 inch 7-Piece Filters Set for Moon Viewing Telescope Filter

Single Element 13% Transmission Moon Filter The product description here seems to be generating a lot of confusion. This is a fairly standard 13% transmission moon filter. The description of this filter suggests that it might be a two-piece adjustable polarizing filter, but it’s not. It has only a single element, and although the title doesn’t state it the description reveals that it’s a 13% moon filter (“Telescope eyepiece filter transmits only 13 percent of the incoming light; boosting contrast and ability to discern detail on the moon.”). If you are a beginning astronomer and do have some of the larger 2” eyepieces, this is actually one of the few filters among the dizzying array available that you will actually use. It will help cut down the brightness of the moon for direct moon observation, or to keep astronomical objects near the moon in the night sky from being flooded out by moonlight. Also, this filter fit fine in my Orion telescope eyepiece holder, though apparently the fit is too tight for some other telescopes. Also, note that this filter is only threaded on one side (for screwing into the 2” eyepiece), so you can’t “stack” it with other filters. Performance was exactly what I expected for a standard moon filter at this entry-level price range and a good value — you really can’t expect more for the asking price.

Doesn’t fit Once attached to eyepiece, doesn’t fit into 2” focuser. Don’t buy. Might as well flush $12 down the toilet. Edited: Svbony contacted me and sent another filter and was very helpful. Great customer service!

SV155 1.25 inch 7-Piece Filters Set for Moon Viewing Telescope Filter

Purchase under advisement I bought these because I thought that putting them on the telescope would enhance the view of the planets. They would cut the glare so that I could see the plant features better. On nebula, I though I would be able to see them in an enhanced way, with the bright colours like on brochures. They don't work like that. So I give them 5 stars, because they do filter the view and they do that well. I went through them and selected a few that do make the storms on Jupiter and Saturn easier to see. But not nearly what I incorrectly thought they could do. Hence my review title. They work, but, take advise as to whether they would enhance your viewing or not. You may need to try astrophotography instead. Astrophotography is what produces those nice colourful planet and nebula pictures, not filters.

Jupiter never looked better! These filters are exactly what I was looking for to augment my planetary astronomy. Each came in an individual protective case. They thread flawlessly onto all of my 1.25” eyepieces (and I have eyepieces from several manufacturers). At this price they are an amazing buy. I recommend them without reservation.

Well made filters! Recieved as described! The filters are well made. Screwed onto my celestron eyepieces without any issues. I have not officially tried them out yet, but I can tell that the filters will be a great addition to my telescope and for sky viewing. Also, it is awesome that each filter came in individual cases. Will be trying the filters out this week and will provide an update.

SVBONY 1.25" 66° Ultra Wide Eyepiece 6/9/15/20mm Fully Multi-Coated

6mm is excellent for planetary views The 6mm is an excellent planetary eyepiece! The eye relief and wide angle are amazing, you can see so much more in view far easier than the small plossls of similar focal length. The sharpness is very good — the photos here are with horrible seeing (atmospheric turbulence) but details were still visible and viewing was enjoyable. Took over a month to arrive but it was worth it—I think a lot of people are picking up new hobbies these days. Great value—don’t hesitate!

SVBONY 1.25" 66° Ultra Wide Eyepiece 6/9/15/20mm Fully Multi-Coated

Good images without breaking the bank A good eyepiece, especially for the price. Used it for a DIY telescope project and the images are clear. Overall a good low-magnification eyepiece.
