SV172 Dew Heater Strip 240mm for Astronomy Telescopes & Cameras

It works well, it already heats to the minimum power. well-made band.

Used this for over a year with my small refractor and dslr lenses. Perfect with a power bank for travelling. Would be a five star, but I dropped it to four, as the power indicator USB switch times out after 1 hour. Would be useful to know this. Easy fix to just attach the dew heater directly to the power bank/camera usb without the switch.

When these cold nights bite and that crisp clear sky is upon us you van guarantee moisture will form all over just don't let it form on your lens or mirrors as standing with a hairdryer at 2am in the morning will provoke your neighbours into world war 3. For the price I didn't think these dew bands would be upto it since they run on 5v usb ( I have the largest 480mm ) but on full power it pulls 1.8 amps and warms up quick which i found me holding to warm my hands at one point. Well made with a branded usb cord and a separate power control lead, a tip for svbony which is a positive criticism would be make longer versions for larger telescopes ( even if it has to be a dual usb as I cannot see anything over 50mm running on 5v ) and consider red leds on the controller to save our night vision ..... I would recommend these dew bands to anyone who wants to stargaze into the early hours or on the coldest of nights when dew can form and mess up your viewing .... well done svbony yet again you have impressed me .... thank you for reading my review (scivideos) barry
