SVBONY SV48P 90mm f/5.5 Achromatic Refractor Telescope OTA for Imaging

Excellent performance and features for price range

This relatively inexpensive telescope is surprisingly good. Although there is some chromatic aberration compared with more expensive telescopes, it's not bad and the objective lens is actually very sharp. Use good eyepieces and you're all set. The view of the Moon with a 6mm eyepiece were really nice. At the other end of magnification, the view with a 22mm eyepiece of general star fields was very pleasing. This would make an excellent scope for a young person, someone interested in general observing, or an expert who wants a grab-and-go scope or for outreach events.

SVBONY SV231 1.25" Fringe Killer Color Correction Filter for Lunar

I am stricktly a visual observer with a year of experience. I live in bortle 6-7 skies. My refractors used were a 120 f8 and 102 f6.5 with starguider ed eyepieces viewing Jupiter. The 120 has an svbony 2" dielectric mirror diagonal. The 102 has a 1.25" svbony dielectric mirror diagonal. As a planetary oberver I knew what to expect from this equipment. Both have a noticeable amount of mostly purple chromatic abberation. I wasnt expecting this filter to make my refractors like an ED but to help relieve some false color, which it did. I held the filter over my eyepieces on each scope to compare. Both views showed minimal purple halo around the diameter of Jupiter. It was almost not noticeable in the 120. As with most of these color correction filters it seems to be a trade off. The filter did remove the purple fringe mostly but added a yellowish tint. I compared the yellow #8 and found the svbony color correction filter was more clear and wasnt as yellow as the #8. The svbony filter has a pinkish hue on the back so I decided to stack my moon and skygliw filter with the #8 yellow. The view was darker and removed detail i could see with just the color correction filter. I saw this filter for pre-order on the svbony website and knew at this price it was worth a try. They are very good, I have just finished trying all with a half moon and Jupiter and the truth is that they surprised me, a tremendous sharpness or I was able to see details in craters that I had never seen. The truth I recommend them. Each is a different joy. The quality is noticeable.

Color Planetary Camera SV705C | Svbony

Great for solar photography with a small refractor

I bought this camera recently for the 2024 Solar Eclipse as I didn't have a planetary camera and wanted something quickly so I could try it out and get comfortable with it. I paired this with my 71mm triplet refractor that also has a hydrogen alpha etalon and blocking filter. I had zero problems with this configuration, and everything worked as it should from drivers to functioning with SharpCap. If you are completely new to dedicated astrophotography cameras, there will be a learning curve to using this. If you have used them before, this should be pretty familiar territory and for me at least there were no surprises or gotchas.

Svbony SV154 2" 26mm SWA 70° Super Wide Angle Telescope Eyepiece

Excellent value for the money.

I had other more expensive eyepieces in my list but after some positive reviews decided to take a chance on Svbonny. My thinking was for $58.00 if it doesnt perform, I'll return it, right? Boy am I glad I went with Svbonny. The eyepiece is well constructed, eye relief is confortable and the views are shrap and crisp and clear. Images are shrap to the edge of the field focusing to sharp diamonds on velvet. I use it on a 60mm F7 achro, an F10 C11 and 10" F4 Newtonian. Recomend 100%.

Svbony SV229 Solar Filter ISO 12312 2 Metal Cap 103mm Sunspot Telescope

Worth it for solar photos

Wanted to have the ability to take solar photos without the risk of damaging equipment and my eyesight. I also have muliple lenses with different outer diameter sizes and wanted something that could be used for my lenses and not purchasing individually sized filters. It is very well constructed and firmly mounts to my multiple lenses. I really like the rubber tipped mount screws that doesn't damage the outer finish on my lenses. It also creates beautiful photos with little post editing.

Best upgrade

If you have the basic diagonal that came with your telescope then get this one. Very bright image compared to the stock one. I love the over size knob on the eyepiece lock. Worked great with gloves on in winter. The compression ring was awesome as well. With those two features it makes this a great value and a good addition to your scope

Svbony SV226 Filter Drawer 1.25" 2" Combination for Astrophotography

Nice inexpensive filter drawer

Everything is very solid and screws together very easily, and I like that it came with an extra drawer and a 2"-1.25" adapter. Sometimes I forget which way the drawer goes and try to put it in backwards which of course doesn't work, but that's about my only complaint and that's more user error than their fault lol.

Good value, excellent product

I bought this to do target spotting at the range. I particularly bought this for its smaller size than a standard spotting scope. I am not at all disappointed. It is easy to setup, takes up minimal space on the shooting table, and has a nice, sharp image at all ranges of the zoom. I would recommend this to anyone needing a good, compact spotting scope.

The SV215 is superior in both sharpness and contrast. It also has good all round optical quality. I use it for lunar and planetary as well as double stars. My scopes are an f7 apochromatic refractor and a 12" f5 dobsonian.
