SVBONY SV28 25-75x70 Zoom Spotting Scope with Tripod for Bird Watching

Great For the Price I got this for hiking because I live near Yosemite (enough said!). The scope was not very heavy (less than a bottle of water) and being water and dust resistant (IP65) gave me piece of mind about actually using it on trail. It delivers a bright fairly sharp image edge-to-edge - I was able to easily read signs from several hundred feet away. The phone adaptor was awkward to use due to the scope's angled viewfinder, but I managed to get some good pics anyway. (Don't judge the scope's clarity by my cheap phone's pics!). The only objective issue was that the pad for the tripod mount fell off the first day of use. No big deal, it still works. Overall I am happy with the SV28.

I bought this compact spotting scope for my mountain trips and couldn't be happier with the purchase. The scope is highly portable, fits perfectly in the included padded carrying bag, and is light enough to take along without adding much bulk. What I Loved - 1. Image Clarity: Insanely clear optics, especially for the price. It’s genuinely surprising how crisp the view is even at higher zoom levels. 2. Ease of Use: The controls and setup are very intuitive. Even as a beginner, I had no trouble getting started. 3. Accessories: The phone adapter is sturdy and holds the phone firmly. The tripod is legit - strong, steady, and well-balanced. I was a bit skeptical about the vertical panning handle holding the combined weight of the scope and phone, but it handled it well with zero strain. A Small Gripe - The front lens cap fits a little loosely. It doesn’t snap on very securely and might fall off in a bumpy bag or rough handling. Not a deal-breaker, but worth noting. P.S.: In the pics/videos attached, the zoom level was at 25x (it goes all the way up to 75x). Let me be clear, the smartphone camera does not do justice to the real clarity you get when viewing directly through the eyepiece. It looks way better in person!

SVBONY SV28 25-75x70 Zoom Spotting Scope with Tripod for Bird Watching

Great Value Just got this today, for $55 my son and I sighted in his 223 at 100 yds, easily saw targets at 300 yds. and we watched birds all afternoon, now taking pictures of the moon. If I never use it again, I got my $55 out of it in 1 day. Phone hookup is so analog, but it works just fine, and is great when shooting with eye protection, which makes looking through it slightly more difficult.

Clearly see .223 @ 100yds Was looking for a good high x spotting scope on the low to help me start my long range shooting hobby. This fits perfect for what I was looking for. The circle target is 4" @ 100yds and the full target is 12"x12" @ 100yds with the scope at 75x zoom. Shooting .223/5.56.

SVBONY SV28 25-75x70 Zoom Spotting Scope with Tripod for Bird Watching

Great for beginners! I am new at birding. I do a ton of stuff outside during the spring and summer. Once fall and winter hit I don't have a ton of outdoor chores and it's depressing. I decided to start feeding the birds over the winter so I'd have feeders to keep up with, aka, outside winter chores. Initially I was just excited to get pictures of the birds I was feeding. One day I was sitting outside with my merlin app running and I heard a hawk. I also saw them. They're red shouldered hawks and they're nesting in a neighbors tree. I found their nest and I've been watching them carefully. I bought the scope to capture their journey into parenthood. I will admit, using the scope initially was a little difficult, but I've gotten the hang of it. Once you have it sighted in it's just a quick turn of the dial to focus. We went out to a wildlife area this weekend, going to share some scope pics from that. I honestly love this thing! For the price I really do think it's a steal. We were very far away from these pelicans and I got such good pictures of them!

Love it. Phone attachment needs some work, but I’m not going to even dock a star for that. The scope is well worth the price. Highly recommend for hikers, bird watchers, and space lovers (yes we’ve used this as a makeshift telescope). Easy to store, easy to carry, easy to use.

SilvioC I received the spotting scope and the package was very well protected during shipping. The scope is lightweight, compact, and easy to carry, which is exactly what I was looking for. The build quality looks good, and everything arrived in excellent condition. I haven't had a chance to test the zoom performance yet, but I plan to do that on my next trip to the range. So far, I'm very pleased with the purchase and it looks promising.

Can you really go wrong for $60?? In my opinion this is an excellent spotting scope for the backyard or for anything within 100 yards. Past this distance there is a going to be loss of contrast and super sharp focus. You can still see objects just fine but it won’t be HD quality. Up to about 40x magnification the focus is great and still ok to 75x. For the price of this setup with everything included it’s a great deal. If you want to look at the moon or watch birds in the park or in the backyard then it’s great. Here’s what it doesn’t have which is how they keep the cost affordable: -This does not have Ed/HD glass. Obviously, so the colors and focus will not be extremely sharp over 40x magnification. - there is not a rotation collar on the scope so the eyepiece can not be rotated to the side. - the eyepiece is fold down. This means that if you use a phone mount it will have to be removed every time you change the zoom. If you get a scope with a twist up eyepiece this is not an issue. -This is not a $300 scope. It has the bare basics To make it a “good scope” -FMC optics -BAK4 prism -Resolution 2.7” Get this scope! It’s so affordable you can’t go wrong. If it’s your first scope you won’t regret having an extra when you upgrade. Get it.

I used the smallest magnification for 25 yard zeroing and it was great. Do notice that it is much better to see through you own eyes rather than the camera z

SVBONY SV28 25-75x70 Zoom Spotting Scope with Tripod for Bird Watching

SVBONY SV28 25-75 x 70 spotting scope This Spotting Scope is smaller and lighter, but focuses at much shorter distances because there's not so much "optical demand" with the 70mm objective lens. It runs easily through the 25x to 75x with crisp, sharp images. I like this one very much for it's ability to focus on close objects for amazing textures. The SV28 is a great bargain for the price, with the small range tripod (for the prone position, or use on a table) the phone holder for photos, and the soft case with a decent, adjustable strap. The front lens cap fits better than the one over the eyepiece, but they're both a little loose so you need fix that or be careful so you don't lose them. If you don't keep the lenses covered when the scope is not in use they'll get dusty. Many people ruin their optics when trying to clean them, (it's very hard to do properly) so the best solution is to NEVER touch the glass and ALWAYS use the caps to protect those delicate lenses!

Great scope for the price point! Was pleasantly surprised when I got this out and viewed the moon last night! Couldn’t believe how clear it was and the detail I could see through the scope! The tripod is a mbit cheap and I used my good camera tripod instead, but it will be okay when used as a spotting scope at the range! The phone mount takes some playing with to get a phone camera lens aligned with scopes eyepiece and if you adjust the scope zoom you have to readjust the phone or the picture will be tilted! Doesn’t matter on a moon shot but, if you are taking pictures of birds out landscape and zoom in you have to readjust! Overall I am very happy with the price and function of this scope! The mountains in the picture are about 25 miles away and looked better directly through the scope than what the picture portrays! Would recommend this scope to anyone needing a nice spotting scope at a great price!
