Superb price/performance ratio

I owned a 102/1000 mm F10 Bresser achromat for some time, now I purchased the Svbony 102mm ED FPL51 and its significaltly better with a lot less chromatic aberrations. I like this refractor a lot, especially because it's sold for an excellent price

this was the best rig I could afford

This is the exact telescope I use with an ASI2600MC. With a 0.8X FF/FR and a Pegasus Focus Cube, this was the best rig I could afford.

Best price with high quality

I have the 102 and the 70 and I love them! Glad at got them before the tariff war being in the states!

Worth a look as a first scope.

I have the the 80mm version of this scope. I think for the price it's very good. It's not as good as a triplet but the difference is not big, mainly slight halos on bright stars. It's well built and nice to use. I have the reducer for it as well. It's my go to scope and I really like it.

Best Budget Refractor

This is in my opinion the best budget refractor for beginner astrophotographers. I combine this the SV605CC and have already leaped ahead from what I was producing and am enjoying the results a lot more Granted this is not an apochromatic (maybe a super achromat) but it definitely does the job and is nicely priced. If you want to break into astrophotography with refractors and are on a budget, this is great choice. This is also a fun scope because it is lightweight and portable so I use it more than my larger scopes now.

This sv503 did really surprise me

I purchased the 503 102ed during the Black Friday sale with competitive price. Thanks svbony. I can proceed my hobby.

Nice gear I've own

I got one sv503 telescope a few months ago. Pretty happy with it.

Magnificent

I upgraded to the 80mm from the SV48P 90mm, and what a difference! I have nothing negative to say about the SV503. It's great with my OSC - I use the 705 camera and I will pop my DSLR onto it soon as well. The build quality is great, the optical quality is incredible, and it's an absolute joy to use. I shoot PN, so unfortunately this doesn't get as much time on the mount as I would like, but when it does, it's such a joy. I had a hard time deciding between this and the 102mm - price became my decider, but in retrospect I should have taken the 102mm. I use an 8" for PN, but I wonder if the 102mm would have been just as good while getting other deep sky as well. So now I sit with two imaging scopes and one mount. Still, I'm happy with the 80mm and the 8" doubles as a nice planetary photography lens. This scope has become one of my "will never part with" telescopes... I guess unless I sell it to fund a 102mm.

For me anyway it was money well spent.

i have the 503, 102 for a few years now and i really like it, i use it with my asi 585 and it produces images i am happy with for the price of the setup. it seems to be a good match for a smaller censor i think most people buying a cheaper beginner telescope like this are not going to have an expensive apc sized cooled camera anyway. the chromatic aberration is a pain but it can mostly be sorted out in pixnsight.

henomenal value

I recently upgraded my entire astrophotography setup. I went big on the mount and decided to go for a mid-range option on the scope. I am incredibly happy with this scope. It's very easy to use and the optics are incredible. The attached shots of the moon were from my first night out with this scope. Shots of stars show great performance all the way to the edge. I've recently seen a few videos on YouTube with reviewers comparing this scope to ones costing 2-3x and there is barely any difference in the final images (usually limited to minor imperfections around the edge). I also have a higher-end triplet, and I confirm these findings. Unfortunately, it's been cloudy almost every weekend since I got this, but I look forward to testing more with DSOs. This is a shockingly good value. Pull the trigger! You won't be disappointed.
