The build quality is superb, the optics are bright and sharp, the focus mechanism is extremely solid and smooth. The entire assembly is much more solid that it appears to be in pictures. Definitely a higher end scope. Pretty thrilled with it so far.

A Good Refractor

Finally, the weather has cool enough for me to enjoy setup and imaging. I primarily use my OTA for imaging and it does a great job. Anyone looking for a good telescope will find the 854mm focal length exceptional for viewing or imaging. Do not forget to buy the accessories. You will need them and the prices are pretty good.

SVBONY SV605MC Cooled Mono Camera with SHO SII Ha OIII Filter Set

Great performance on DSO

I've coupled my new SV605MC camera to an old Nikkor 180 F/2.8 ED telephoto lens. The performances on deep sky objects are very good. Shooting from the city center where I live, which is very light-polluted, and using an SV227 H-alpha filter, the NGC7000 "North America Nebula" is perfectly pictured. The additional benefit of using an SV227 narrowband filter, is to suppress some residual chromatic aberration of my telephoto lens, other than erasing the light pollution. This results in very sharp and detailed images - even if I'm using a relatively short focal length (180 mm).

I love this binocular. This is my first binocular and I didn't want to spend too much money, and this one exceeds all the criteria! I use it primarily for birding, and it has really helped me expand my identification range. I can identify waterfowl across the lake that I frequent. It also allows me to identify various sea ducks that are beyond the range of the binoculars. I have no problem with the weight, as I have carried it (and the tripod) for over 6 miles. I usually just carry the tripod over my shoulder and the binoculars on the tripod. I highly recommend this binocular to anyone who wants to expand their field of view but doesn't have the budget to go for a higher-end binocular.

Good binocs for the money.

I have only used them for about 30 min in my back and front yards but they focus well and are pleasant to use. They do not seem cheap but in fact feel very solid and sturdy. They are small, inexpensive and give good visual at 8x magnification. I would buy again and I do recommend. One person found this helpful

Very high quality spotting scope.

I wanted an ED spotting scope for wildlife viewing, but did not want to pay for something like a Swarovski since this was for occasional use. I also wanted an angled scope. The dual focusing wheel capability, the large wide lens bringing plenty of light and the zoom range make me very happy with my purchase. Also the build quality is superb. This is a GREAT scope forgetting the price.

SVBONY SV406P 20-60x80ED Scope & Binoculars Combo for Birding Festival

Very Nice Scope

Got this while on sale as it had good reviews and was the lowest cost scope with ED glass I could find. The eyepiece works great- the screw out eye cup is very nice for both looking through and for digiscoping. The dual focus knobs are nice. I compared this with a Bushnell Skymaster that I had previously been using and this scope was noticeably brighter. That's probably the 80mm dimension at work. Just by eyeballing it, I couldn't tell any difference in sharpness. Both scopes looked pretty sharp. I couldn't tell any real difference in chromatic aberration between them either, but I didn't do a side by side photo comparison in difficult lighting to really compare.

The 503 102 is a good choice. It is just big enough to enjoy some details in distant DSOs and small enough to get a decent field of view as well. Alternatively, I have opted to not use the reducer/flattener to maximize focal length for some targets as well.
