A great choice

Purchased this telescope for my Christmas, got a few good nights of clear skies to try it out and was able to see alot of stars and planets and a few constellations up close, very happy with how it turned out. Excellent unit to start with when wanting something better quality than a cheap telescope. Clarity is a lot better than the less expensive ones I have. I purchased the lens kit by plossi and worked great with it.

Excelente telescopio

Telescopio completo para cielo profundo, lunar, solar y planetario con barlow. Para poner cámara dedicada planetaria es necesario un extensor para enfocar

EXCELLENT

I have a Celestron Astromaster 114EQ reflector and wanted to buy a telescope that would be more useful for astrophotography. I'm a keen amateur, but I'm not a professional or expert in astrophotography, and I wanted to buy a good telescope at a good price. I decided on the SVBONY 8O and received it 10 days ago. Due to weather, I haven't been able to use it regularly these past few days. However, I'm more than happy. The telescope is sturdy, and the quality is felt and evident in all its components. I was able to focus very easily with my Canon T3i camera. I couldn't focus with the Celestron 10mm and 20mm eyepieces, so I bought the SVBONY188P diagonal and was immediately able to focus with both eyepieces without any problems. I also bought the 6mm SVBOBY eyepiece, and the optics are excellent for the price. Conclusion: I think I made an excellent purchase, and when I can use the telescope to take my photographs, I'll update the review and probably give it 5 stars. So far, I'm extremely happy. Today, I have to update my review. These past two months, I've been able to use the telescope more, and I'm even happier. I was able to view Jupiter with its four main stars, and the image is gorgeous. You can see the bands. Saturn is a beauty. The rings are visible, but not the Cassini division. I'm in the astrophotography mode, experimenting with some software. It's a really good product for the price.

SVBONY SV503 ED80 F/7 TELESCOPE REVIEW

The SVBONY SV503 ED80 f/7 Telescope is a great little telescope for the value. It is light weight making it ideal for a grab and go scope for quick setup time and use, Features dual hinged mounting rings and Vixen style Dovetail for easy mounting on most any brand EQ or AzAlt mount. SMC Coated optics. 2 Speed RAck and Pinion focus, rotating focus head. You can use 2" or 1.25" eyepieces with the supplied 1.25" adapter. Nice and sturdy construction and machining. white powder coated Aluminum OTA. Sliding Dew Shield for smaller storage when nt in use. Paired with the SV106 50mm Guide Scope and the SV305 Camera makes for a nice little Astrophotography rig at a price thet won't break the bank. Great starter telescope for someone wanting and all around use telescope for both viewing and Astrophotography. I have owned my 503 ED80 for about a year and have used it many time in my observatory. Excellent views of the planets,Moon,Sun and many of the Messier Objects. I compared it to my Meade LX85 R5 f/5.8 Refractor and didn't see a lot of difference other than the larger aperture scope was brighter. The 503 ED80 has very little Chromatic Aberration common in most Doublet Refractors. It is nearly un noticeable using a Baader Fringe Killer Filter. I have several other telescopes and I highly recommend this for anyone on a budget or to add to your telescope collection. They have a full line of Telescopes and accessories at very good prices and pretty good quality items. I own sever acc

Excellent telescope

What more can I say? It's a doublet with exceptional optics. The lenses are super clear, it feels very sturdy, very well made, not a single manufacturing defect, and the focusing is very smooth and precise. I don't regret the purchase at all. The 80mm size is perfect for a Skywatcher AZGti mount.

Great service and product.

Came securely packaged and on time. First use was perfect.

Great little scope at a good price!

I needed a scope with a wider field of view than my SCT but was working with a limited budget. I've been very happy with the results I've gotten from this little scope. It's a bit back heavy so I had to attach a counterweight to the front using a clamp I 3D printed but this isn't a huge issue.

Exceptional value

The quality of the optics, focuser, and hardware are better than I would expect for the price. During visual observations of Jupiter and the moon at 143x I was not able to see any color fringing.I am more comfortable with a FPL-51 lens because it is more rugged than a fluorite lens. The tube is light making it easier to mount on a lightweight mount. I use it on a CG4 with a custom wood tripod. I will end up using it more than my AP 155mm FPL-53 doublet and G-11 mount because it is far lighter and easier to set up

Needs many extras

Haven't been able to use it yet but pleased with the finish and quality. This one fits a sweet spot between for quicker set up. I plan to use this for mostly DSO and some planetary viewing even though it is capable of astro photography. The focuser is rack and pinion but I believe an auto focuser can be found in the after market. Some reviews mention focuser runs out of focus but focus reducers and increasers are available. I am just using two inch extenders, diagonals, and barlows to get the most from my eyepieces and any focusing issues. A padded case would have been a nice touch. Mounts and eyepieces can be purchased later. (you can get one and a quarter or two inch) Cant wait for clear skies and warmer weather.

Not bad as a starter Astro scope

If you are short on funds and eager to get into Astro this isn’t a bad choice for a starter scope.
