it is a great set of equipment for the money!
This is a great set of equipment for the money and is a good scope for someone just starting out in the hobby or on a tight budget. It's nice to see that decent equipment is now available at a reasonable price.
For me anyway it was money well spent.
i have the 503, 102 for a few years now and i really like it, i use it with my asi 585 and it produces images i am happy with for the price of the setup. it seems to be a good match for a smaller censor i think most people buying a cheaper beginner telescope like this are not going to have an expensive apc sized cooled camera anyway. the chromatic aberration is a pain but it can mostly be sorted out in pixnsight.
So far so good and excellent performance!
I've received the sv503 last week, it really looks like a capable budget beginners scope. SVBONY are producing some nice kit for lower budgets and beginners.
Excellent ED optisc & focuser
I have the 102 mm ED verson from Svbony. I have used it for visual observations and photography, it's very very nice for the planets and the Moon (with filter) clearly better than my Bresser 102/1000 mm achromat. It also has an excellent focuser.
Great image for a budget scope
I owned the sv503 80ed and sv165 guide scope 500mm for two months. I have taken several beautiful images, it was nice and sharp.SVBONY has been gaining a lot of popularity for their affordable options.I will choose a larger 102ed next year.
Good quality without breaking the bank
I've been using this scope for almost 2 years. Primarily DSO astrophotography with some visual use. I have zero complaints.
Thats indeed a budget-friendly setup.
It’s amazing what you can achieve with the budget-friendly setup.SVBONY have a good range of budget options, worth checking out. This helps to make astrophotography more affordable to a lot more people like me, haha..
Much better optical quality and performance
I own the Svbony 102/714 mm for 6 months now, previosely I had a Bresser 102/1000 mm F10 achromat and the Svbony 102 ED has a much better optical quality and performance. Also the 2 speed focuser is infinitely better than the ones used on simple achromats.
Suitable for planetary photography
I bought this exact OTA a month ago and I tried planetary photography and the results surprised me a lot.
High performance and well-build quality
I bought the SV503 80 and I'm very happy with it's performance and build quality.
